By Sam Greene (Pandora) on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 - 03:34 pm: Did you think you ony had enough money for two tickets but found more money which enabled you to buy five? That's almost correct. But I never wanted to buy five, I only ever intended to buy two Did your husband know you were going to get tickets? Yes Did you buy anything else while you were there? relevant? Not relevant By Chuck Raby (Wildcard) on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 - 04:29 pm: Did the price of the tickets change? No Were you buying tickets with the winnings from other tickets? No, but good question OTRT Discover that you had won more than you thought? No Husband tell you to take the winnings from one (or more) ticket(s) and use it to buy more tickets? No, but you are getting very close |

Is it relevant where you got the money from that you used to buy the tickets? Did your Husband give you the money? Do you or your husband consider '5' to a lucky number? |

So the money came from your husband? did he physically hand it to you? did you borrow it? find it in his jacket? (Am not accusing you of stealing by the way!) Did he lend you the money? was the money specifically for the lottery tickets? Do you and your husband have a pact that you won't spend more than £5 on lottery tickets a week? Is it relevant whether it was a saturday or Wednesday draw? or both? |

did you buy two tickets with the money he gave you, and then hit a small instant winner, and use that money to buy more tickets? |

By Fred Z (Dref) on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 - 11:17 pm: Is the month of May relevant? It does make up 1/12 of a year! But apart from that, no By Sam Greene (Pandora) on Thursday, March 24, 2005 - 11:17 am: So the money came from your husband? Yope - be more specific did he physically hand it to you? No, but the puzzle would still have worked if he had did you borrow it? find it in his jacket? (Am not accusing you of stealing by the way!) Oh I steal from him all the time, I work on a what's his is mine rule! He told me to get it from his bedside table because... Did he lend you the money? was the money specifically for the lottery tickets? YES Do you and your husband have a pact that you won't spend more than £5 on lottery tickets a week? Not really, no Is it relevant whether it was a saturday or Wednesday draw? or both? It was a single Saturday draw, but that's not really relevant By (Stuccosalt) on Thursday, March 24, 2005 - 07:28 pm: did you buy two tickets with the money he gave you, and then hit a small instant winner, and use that money to buy more tickets? No, but good guess |

Whoops - just read the last question I asked was already answered - sorry bout that! Did you take the correct amount of money from the table? Possibly took a larger or smaller bill than you intended? Were the tickets purchased in part to get change for something else (parking meter, vending machine, anything like that)? So if the amount originally taken was incorrect, it would be necessary to buy extra tickets to receive the proper change? |

At what point did you decide to buy five: - Before entering the store? - Before buying the tickets? - As you asked for the tickets? - As you paid for the tickets? - After you bought the orignial two tickets? |
