Social status? economic status? (both?) social skills? geographic location? You aren't sure that 'meets requirements' is where we need to go with 'set'. Would 'be in a favorable position' work better? how about the idiom 'had it sewn up'? |

New Yorkers? Californians? Alabamans? Alaskans? right idea, keep going... nah... i'll save your fingers... Kentucky Social status? no economic status? no (both?) social skills? no geographic location? insofar as it pertains to Kentucky-all other locations are now irrel., which is why I put the 'could have' in my title, since I don't live there. This is now also now irrelevant to the rest of the puzzle. You aren't sure that 'meets requirements' is where we need to go with 'set'. Would 'be in a favorable position' work better? how about the idiom 'had it sewn up'? no... let me go ahead and risk over-revealing by shifting the focus from the requirement to what happens by not filling the requirement. Let's see where this goes. |

Can people living in Kentucky not meet the requirement? yes, they can meet it Is it required by law? yes By nature? no-ish, but it's a good standard to follow Will you die if you don't meet the requirement? not likely Be thrown in jail? possibly Be refused the service without a refund? irrel Forced to peel potatoes? not likely, but an amusing picture Will somebody go all Hitler on your rectum? not likely, although there is a remote possibility... I wouldn't chase this very far though... If you lived in Kentucky, you would have been able to do something? yes, but irrel. gain something? irrel. achieve something? staying out of the consequences, maybe be something? not really |

If I went there and didn't meet the requirement, do you think I might be arrested? What if I said I didn't know of the requirement? What if I ran from the cops? Would they pursue me? Would I go to jail for life? 10-20 years? Would I be given a $150 fine and told to meet the requirement "next time"? Could there be a "next time"? |

If I went there and didn't meet the requirement, do you think I might be arrested? possiblyWhat if I said I didn't know of the requirement? somewhat irrel., but I will say it would be difficult for them to prove their case either way What if I ran from the cops? they could possibly pursue you, although with difficulty... *explore*Would I go to jail for life? not likely 10-20 years?not likely either Would I be given a $150 fine and told to meet the requirement "next time"? not sure, but probably the most likely so far Could there be a "next time"? not within a certain time period This will be my last response this evening, as it is approaching midnight my time. I'll pick up the thread tomorrow. Great progress, everyone, and I'm flattered at the participation. |
