Was the prediction serious? Was it a joke? an exaggeration? made tongue-in-cheek? did 'he' feel he was being overly optimistic? pessimistic? fanciful? when he made the prediction?

Was it made vocally? In writing? Did a lot of people know about the prediction when it was made?

Is the thing he predicted really an event?
Did his prediction fail to explain the circumstances around the thing happening? Did the thing happen for a different reason than he thought?
Was this a self-fulfilling prophecy?
