Does he directly benefit from the prices of the music going up? Does he somehow pocket the price difference? Does he limit the supply of music available? does it involve inventing any new technology? |

Does the price of music going up affect how people spend their money in general? Does he make more money through advertising? Higher taxes? Does he do something to the music itself? To ipods? To cds? Does he do something elsewhere in the world that happens to drive the music prices up? Does the price of anything else increase? |

Is the price of all kinds of music affected? Or just one particular genre? you said he sort of made the music but beware a false assumption... is it traditional music? does he sing? play an instrument? record someone or something else? boy, this is a good puzzle, I'm getting stumped here! should i find out how he pockets the price difference? |

Did he claim to own the rights to something that is used in a lot of music, such as a very simple sequence of notes or chords? Did he claim to own a patent on digital music in general? |
