Emilia decided to bake a cake one evening. She stopped on her way to work in the morning to buy flour and sugar, and made a second trip to buy milk and eggs on her way home in the afternoon. The cake was delicious, but she would agree making two separate trips was quite inconvenient. Why did she do this? | ||

Her fridge was broken? They were out of milk and eggs? They would have been out of flour and sugar if she'd waited till after work to buy them? She needed the sugar anyway for her morning coffee? If she'd kept the milk and eggs in the fridge at work, her co-workers would have mooched them? | ||

Ok, so the real question is... why didn't she just get the flour and sugar AFTER work as well? Did she need the flour and sugar for something else? Was there a portion of the recipe that she had to start earlier that didn't involve the eggs and milk? Did she simply not have enough time to do both without hitting awful 6 hour rush hour traffic (Can you tell I had a bad day yesterday?)? | ||
