Jennifer (Tigger32382)

is it hard to call them because you can't get them on the line? No
or is it hard because you don't like what you have to say to them? No
is it relevant who is calling? No
are telemarketers relevant? No
is it an ordinary person being called / business? Neither

Note that it would be hard to call them regardless of using a phone or not. But by phone, it is still difficult.

Ok, then, are their names
difficult to pronounce?
difficult to spell? (which would make looking the names up in a directory difficult?)
difficult to write?
difficult to find out? (like trying to find out who is the VP in charge of advertising for a company?)

So their names are dead simple? Names that a lot of people have (John/Jon/Jonn? Chris/Kris/Khris/Kriss/Cris/Criss/Chrys? Smith?)

Is the difficulty in figuring out which one you want?

Is the difficulty in figuring out which one you want? Ambiguous pronoun. But I believe not

does their name have a different meaning? Yes, in that their name indicates something else.
one that is funny/rude? No, might be considered rude by some

Barbara Johannessen Bailey (Rabrab)

Is The Artist Formerly Known As Prince relevant? No
Is the situation similar -- Alittle
someone has a glyph/symbol? for a name? It can be taken as a symbol, but it's just a word to me.
a number for a name? No
a series of letters and numbers for a name? No
a series of letters that do not form a commonly accepted word as a name? Yes. But to be exact, it's just that this isn't usually taken upon to be a name, for various reasons.

Are you talking about those phone numbers that use words instead of numbers, so you have to hunt for the digits corresponding to the correct letters?

I think he means the ones like "call 1-800-MATTRESS", which are annoying as all get out.

when you said

Quote:

It can be taken as a symbol, but it's just a word to me.

did you mean that it's a word that is the name of a symbol, like 'star'?

If yes, is it a mathematical symbol?
a printer's symbol?
an editor's / proofreader's symbol?
an engineer's symbol?
a symbol that could crop up anywhere?

Is it "star"? *?

Is it "star"? *? No, it's not a noun

Backing up a bit:
Are there more than one of "them"?
Is this relevant?

Are you trying to reach them at a home number?
Is this revelvant?

Is their name something that would normally be said in the course of a conversation?

Is the difficulty in getting them on the phone? As in, does someone else answer and it is difficult to indicate to whom you want to speak?

Backing up a bit:
Are there more than one of "them"? Yes
Is this relevant? YES!

Are you trying to reach them at a home number? Nope
Is this revelvant? Somewhat, for the method I was trying to reach them

Is their name something that would normally be said in the course of a conversation? Usually, I would say

Is the difficulty in getting them on the phone? As in, does someone else answer and it is difficult to indicate to whom you want to speak? Nope, phone not important

Jennifer (Tigger32382)

is it an adjective? a preposition? an adverb? a conjunction? None of the above, it was a pronoun. One you should have figured out by now

*****************************************************SPOILER************************************

I think that is enough to spoil it. A bunch of kids found out that a man in the States had legally changed his name to "They". And so, they decided to pretend they were all "they." I was only trying to get to one of them, but since they are all "they", it was kinda hard to get him, and only him, to respond.
