Spelling of "two"? "fingers"? "finger"? another word? spelling in general?
Does it involve doing something with fingers? some property of fingers? the word "fingers"?

Does it involve making certain motions with your fingers? That could be done using two fingers or four fingers?

Like a pair of scissors? the Peace sign? Gauge out somebody's eyes via the Three Stooges method?

Is two the only possible number this works for?

Does it involve an image? Something bizarre?
Involved a relationship?

Do the spelling and fingers directly related? Like an obvious connection.

Anything to do with finger spelling? (sign alphabet?)

Writing "two" out with your fingers? Rather, making the motions? In the air? On a surface?

Do the motions require one finger? two fingers? three? four? five?... all ten?

Is it important what finger motions mean? It's an avenue worth exploring.

Is two the only number that can be spelled with your fingers, not using a traditional sign alphabet?

I mean, t is two index fingers crossed, w is index, ring and middle on the same hand, and o is making an o with one hand?

I am thinking doing that for twenty would be rough...

Does it have to do with sign language in general?

So we know it involves spelling and fingers, but not finger spelling or sign language.

Does the finger aspect involve any movement of the fingers, or just something else about fingers?
Does it involve specific fingers, such as ring and pinky? Does it involve a specific number of fingers? Two fingers?
Does it have to do with pouring shots of alcohol? (e.g. Give me two fingers of tequila!)

In reviewing previous answers, it looks like it does involve movement of the fingers. But in one answer you said it could be done with 2 or 4, and in the next answer you said yes to 1,2, or 3, but no to 4,5,10.
Can you clarify on the number of fingers, specifically if four fingers work for this?

In reviewing previous answers, it looks like it does involve movement of the fingers. I should hope so. But in one answer you said it could be done with 2 or 4, and in the next answer you said yes to 1,2, or 3, but no to 4,5,10.
Can you clarify on the number of fingers, specifically if four fingers work for this? Ah, you're right, my mistake.

Strictly speaking, you could use any number of fingers to do this, although it would be most improbable that anyone would use more than three.

********** SPOILER **********

In addition to the plenitude of good reasons offered above *shakes fist at the heavens* the number 2 is also the only one which can be typed within one row of keys on a keyboard/typewriter

Hate to say but you are wrong - on Germanic keyboards it is also possible to type zero from a single row as the Z replaces the Y
