Does Tony know where Sarah has to come from to get to the place where she takes the lesson? Does she start from a classroom building? a dormitory? her house? the place where she works? somewhere else? |

Has Sarah ever been late to Tony's lessons before? Has she taken lessons from Tony for a while? Many previous times? Has Tony ever criticized her for being late before? Is Sarah late for any of these reasons: she stops on the way to the lesson to talk with someone? she stops on the way to the lesson to get a cup of coffee, or some other kind of drink? she stops to get something to eat? she takes a route that requires more time than necessary to get there? she stops to watch something going on (like a football game at the university)? she starts on her way, then realizes she's forgotten something and has to go back and get it? she gets lost? she gets mugged? |

So supposing that Sarah's lesson was to begin at 2 pm, and Sarah had a 10 minute walk to get there, is it fair to say that Sarah left her origin around 1:50? You answered earlier that Sarah's delay occured at some time after she left, yet before she arrived at the place of her lesson - right? Was the delay directly caused by someone else? Is there another person who is in any way involved with Sarah's delay? Or was it strictly due to Sarah making a poor decision on her own? Did she interact with anyone else on the way to the lesson? Was she talking on a cell phone on the way to the lesson? When she arrived? |

Is Tony's assessment of why she is late correct? Could she have anticipated that he would be displeased? |

Did Sarah offer an explanation for her lateness? Was it the true explanation? Were any words exchanged between them before he sent her away? |

Did Tony draw an inference as to the reason for her lateness? Was it a correct inference? Had she instead taken a wrong turning, rather than stopping on the way, would he have drawn the same inference? |

From previous answers, it appears that he might have decided to dismiss her before she arrived - is this right? Did he draw before she arrived the inference as to the reason for her lateness? |

Did he have an idea about the reason for her tardiness based on something they had discussed before? based on something that had occurred during previous lessons? something that had occurred outside of previous lessons? Was Tony in communication with her during the delay? with anyone else? |
