A man took his horse across a river to escape death from an attacking elephant. Although elephants are known to be good swimmers, the elephant did not give chase. Why? I've just started visiting these boards - thought that posing a question might be nice, since most of the puzzles here seem to start with statements. Hope to learn as much as I can here! =) |

Hi and welcome to the forum Okay man = adult human male? horse = large pony type thing? Elephant = large grey mammal? Relevant where the river was geographically? Was the elephant scared of the river? Was there something in the river which put the elephant off following the man? i.e. a strong current? Did the elephant have any young with them? |
