So many good lateral ideas out the window... Did the shower itself cause the room to become cleaner? Did someone else clean the room while she was in the shower? Did she take the shower at her house? Does the bathroom with the shower in it adjoin her bedroom? Any other person involved? Relevant how long her shower lasted? "Had a shower" actually mean got in the shower and washed? Cleaner mean less dirt/dust? more organized? less cluttered? |

quote:Did she take the shower at her house? no
quote:Does this take place in a house? yes
quote:Are the bedroom and shower in the same building? yes, just a regular house
Therefore, we are about to conclude that she did all that in a house different from her own, right? Since you said that there is no more relevant persons, does that mean that the house in question does not have owner? Is it abandoned? Did anyone ever used it to live there? Does anyone live there now? Or, that is just not relevant for the story how she came into the house and what is with the owner? Her job relevant? Maid? |

Should we assume that since she had just gotten out of the shower, she lacked clothing? Was there anything on her person when she walked into the "other room"? If so, is it unusual for one to have this item on their person esp. after exiting the shower? Did the bedroom get cleaned because she walked into it, or was in it for some minutes? |

Is the shower in question the usual kind of pipes-in-the-bathroom-splashing-water type of shower? Or a shower of the kind I believe Americans have, which is a term for a party where people bring presents? Is the vacuum cleaner one in which you can put water to aid the cleaning process? Is the vacuum cleaner one which blows as well as sucks (regular feature of many Tom & Jerry cartoons) |

Is it any of these types of cleaners?
- Upright vacuum cleaners have the pump mounted directly above the suction intake, with the bag mounted on the handle, which rises to about waist height. Upright designs usually employ mechanical beaters, often rotating brushes, to help disturb dust to be vacuumed up; these beaters are usually driven by a belt attached to the vacuum motor.
- Canister (or cylinder) designs have the motor and bag in a separate canister unit (usually mounted on wheels) connected to the vacuum head by a flexible hose. Although upright units have been tested as more effective (mainly because of the beaters), the lighter, more manoeuverable heads of canister models are popular. Some upmarket canister models have "power heads", which contain the same sort of mechanical beaters as in upright units, although such beaters are driven by a separate electric motor.
- Wet vacs or wet/dry vacuums—a specialised form of the canister vacuum—can be used to clean up wet or liquid spills. They commonly can accommodate both wet and dry soilage; some are also equipped with a switch or exhaust port for reversing the airflow, a useful function for everything from clearing a clogged hose to blowing dust into a corner for easy collection.
- Back-pack vacs are commonly used for commercial cleaning: they allow the user to move rapidly about a large area. They are essentially canister vacuum cleaners, except that straps are used to carry the canister unit on the user's back.
- Built-in or central vacuum cleaners move the suction motor and bag to a central location in the building and provide vacuum inlets at strategic places throughout the building: only the hose and pickup head need be carried from room to room; and the hose is commonly 8 m (25 ft) long, allowing a large range of movement without changing vacuum inlets. Plastic piping connects the vacuum outlets to the central unit. The vacuum head may either be unpowered or have beaters operated by an electric motor or air-driven motor. The dirt bag in a central vacuum system is usually so large that emptying or changing needs to be done less often, perhaps once per year.
- Robotic vacuum cleaners move autonomously, usually in a mostly chaotic pattern ('random bounce'). Some come back to a docking station to charge their batteries, and a few are able to empty their dust containers into the dock as well.
- Small hand-held vacuum cleaners, either battery-operated or electric, are also popular for cleaning up smaller spills.

If she hadn't taken a shower, would she then be unable to use the vacuum cleaner? Or would she be able to use the vacuum cleaner, but it would be less efficient? when she uses the vacuum cleaner, is she still wet? still naked? If she had taken off her clothes, gone into the bathroom and but not actually turned the shower on, then returned and used the vacuum cleaner, would the effect be the same? If she had done as above, but turned the shower on for as long as a normal shower, then returned, would the effect be the same? |

there is one more aspect to it, but almost there. well done :> here is the spoiler: ***** SPOILER ****** Around the turn of the century, before the hair dryer was invented, women used to dry their hair by attaching a hose to the vacuum cleaner exhaust. Since at that time the cleaners were quite bulky, she wanted to save some efforts taking it out from the closet only to sweep the floor. So whenever she was out of the shower and the floor needed cleaning she would first dry her hair and then clean the room. |
