Was the yoghurt before used in an uncommon way? To cover something? like paint? Was the color of the yoghurt: white? yellow? pink? orange? darker? Is it relevant that yoghurt contains: milk? water? minerals? vitamines? sugar? fruit? anything else? Does the yoghurt can matter? or what is written on the packing? Is the producer of the yoghurt relevant? |

Was the yoghurt before used in an uncommon way? Yope To cover something? No like paint? No Was the color of the yoghurt: white? yellow? pink? orange? darker? There are different colours / colors (USA English :-)) including pink and purple and certainly other colours Is it relevant that yoghurt contains: milk? water? minerals? vitamines? sugar? fruit? anything else? The only relevance is that they are normal yoghurts but different colors / colours (UK English :-))representing different flavours and presumably it is the fruit and any food additives that influence that. Does the yoghurt can matter? Yes, in that it would show what flavour yoghurt and probably make the colour/color visible or what is written on the packing? Yes in that it would give evidence of what flavour yoghurt. Is the producer of the yoghurt relevant? Yope - (could be misleading) Good questions! |

Ok, is it true that the colour (british english is OK for me) of the yoghurt was used to code a sort of information? Different sorts of yoghurt (having different colours) were used? The yoghurts were used because more convenient objects were not available? Now, other objects are used replacing the yoghurts? The yoghurts are used: opened? closed? both? |

The yoghurts were used to communicate? To store information? Did they use a colour code? Is the fact that two men were doing this relevant? Did they do this professionally? Is the number of yoghurts used relevant? If yes [insert list]? Was the yoghurt they used eaten at all? Is the act of opening the yoghurts relevant? |

The two man are these days communicating with a particular method? Between each other? In 1978 another particular communication method was used? By other people? Is the number of these people relevant? Male/female relevant? Did the yoghurts move? or did the people move for the communication to happen? Are the places (in 1978 and these days) were this happened relevant? |

Well, I can tell you what little I know, and take it from there The 1978 yoghurt reference is Karpov v Korchnoi, the FIDE Chess Championships 1978. Karpov's minders brought him a blueberry yoghurt, and Korchnoi's team believed it was some sort of espionage or signal. (I think I have it the right way round: Korchnoi was the one who defected and became a Swiss national, I think.) So this is about a more modern case of signalling? Is there another context to guess besides the 1978 championships? Is this still chess? Or something else? |

So a chess player obtained information by a third party during a game. Was this communication visual? gesture? clothing? objects? acoustical? voice? noise pruduced by a person? The person who provided the information was part of the players team? was in the audience of the match? Did this person leave the room during the match? Were there breaks in the match? **************** SPOILER ******************* The 1978 Chess World Championship match between the two Russians, (state groomed champion) Anatoly Karpov and (bitter dissident) Victor Korchnoi, was full of intrigue. At one point Korchnoi and his backup team accused the opponents of cheating. Korchnoi asserted that Karpov's team were sending coded messages indicating the best move for him to make by the use of different coloured/flavoured yogurts that they delivered to Karpov whilst he was playing at the board. The Cold War In Chess makes a fascinating read! More recently at The World Open at Philadelphia this year they used rather more technologically advanced ways to cheat! Modern Cheating Methods And this is what the New York Times had to say |

Hape Kerkeling seems to be seems to be quite popular. It's a pity that my german is so poor - I'd like to understand more about how he is winding people up. |

I know the girl only from the video. She is introduced as the (probalbly german) womens master. I don't understand her last name but her first name surely is Elisabeth. She may have won other titles since then. In Germany Hape Kerkeling is popular for fooling people like this playing each time a different weird character. |
