Wizardofnz purchases an item which he later uses himself, although he neither wants nor needs it. Although this item is designed to be used immediately after purchasing, Wizardofnz waits 15 minutes before using it. Explain |

Did you buy it as a present? And then get it thrown back in your face and choose to use it yourself? |

Mycroft Is it edible? yes A common household object? 'common' would be stretching it, but it's not rare and exotic Crazy Or is it obscure? no Red lady Is 'fifteen minutes' the minutes as on the clock? Not entirely sure I understand you. By '15 minutes', I mean 15 minutes of earth time has elapsed, in the sense one would normally think of it Woody Did you buy it as a present? no And then get it thrown back in your face and choose to use it yourself? no |

Did you deliberately wait 15 minutes before eating it? Were you doing anything relevant in those 15 minutes? Did you do something to it eg. thaw it, freeze it etc? or did it spend its 15 minute state of uneatenness just sitting on the table? Did you intend to eat it when you first bought it? Did you eat it at home? At a cafe, restaurant, or similar? Did you eat it at the same place you bought it from? |

Did you buy the item.. at a kiosk? in a supermarket? at a vending machine? somewhere else? Was the place you bought it 15 minutes away from your home? Less? Did you walk/drive home directly after you bought the item? The item is not produced immediately before buying it, right? Does it have to be unpacked/opened before it can be consumed? Is the time after buying relevant because... the item gains temperature? the item loses temperature? the item gets contact to air/oxygene? |

Did anything relevant happen before you purchased it? During the transaction? Immediately after? Were you forced/tricked/embarrassed into buying it? Have you bought this item before? At the same place? Had you eaten this item before? If so, do you always wait 15 min before eating it? If not, did you buy it just out of curiosity, to see what it would be like? |

Did you need change for a bus or taxi? YES And you werent allowed to eat the chocolate bar en route? et voila ***** SPOILER ***** Having arrived by train at the regional train station (from where buses depart to the suburbs) without any small change, I bought a chocolate bar at the adjacent petrol station to get some coinage. The bus was leaving immediately, so I had to board before I had time to eat the chocolate bar. The bus alighted outside my house 15 minutes later. |
