is he glad she smokes tobacco? that she buys cigarettes? that she carries means of lighting cigarettes?
if she carried cigarettes but never smoked them would he still be glad? if she held a cigarette to her mouth but did not light it would he still be glad? if she lit it but did not inhale? if she took one puff then put it out? if she carried them and offered them to other people?

is the type of cigarette relevant? the colour? the size?
is it relevant whether she uses matches? a lighter?

would he still be glad if she only smoked cigs that someone gave her?
is it relevant how many she smokes?
is he glad on many occasions? just one?

does her smoking give him a benefit? cause him not to lose a benefit?

is he glad for his own sake? for hers? for someone else's?

is their relationship relevant? are they romantically involved? married? friends? colleagues?
is he glad that she has to go outside to take smoking breaks? is a smoking ban in public places relevant? in workplaces?

is he an adult? is she? are their ages relevant?

is his occupation relevant? hers?

is he glad that she smokes then just because this means she has to take smoking breaks?

when she takes a break does she do something else that actually makes him glad? does she, for instance, buy something from him?
is she his client? he hers?

does she, during her smoking breaks, stop doing something and it is the stopping of this thing that makes him glad?

do they encounter each other? between smoking breaks? during smoking breaks?

when she takes a break does she move away from him? towards him?

does this puzzle refer to one particular instance when she took a break? did she help him during this instance? and she wouldn't have been there if she hadn't been a smoker?

Would it work if she smoked a pipe? If she suffered from some medical condition which meant she had to go outside for 10 minutes every few hours?
Does he smoke?
Does he get to see her more often because she smokes? Does he enjoy seeing her? Does he get some benefit from seeing her? Is it relevant where this takes place?
Is her profession relevant? Is she at work when she takes smoking breaks? Does she work in a hospital? Hotel?

Is she inside some building when she takes smoking breaks? Is he inside the same building?
Does their relationship result in them seeing each other every day? Every week? Every month? regularly? Or on a fairly random basis?
Does she have a similar relationship with any other people? Lots of other people? Does he?
Is her relationship with him related to her "yopeish" work?
Does she get paid for doing some service for some other people?

Does she go to people's houses to perform this service?
Does she do a service for people accused of crimes? For people who have been victims of crimes? Does she encounter police officers during the course of her work? lawyers? other court officials?

Ok, I know some of these have been asked, but to figure out her role in the courtroom, is she:
An attorney?
Defense attorney?
Prosecuting attorney?
Judge?
Juror?
Witness?
Victim?
Plaintiff?
Defendant?
Baliff?
Legal secretary?
Audience member (if thats what you'd call it)?

Same questions for him.

Is it relevant what case is being held in court when they are there?
Is it relevant whether it is a civil or criminal case? If so, is it civil? Criminal?

Is any other person relevant to this scenario?

Does he gain some benefit from her smoking? From her taking smoke breaks?
Does he percieve some benefit that doesn't necessarily exist from her smoking? From the smoke breaks?

Does her smoking lead to recesses being called for that wouldn't otherwise be called? Relevant?

Relevant how often the smoke breaks occur?
How long they last?

quote:

is he glad that she smokes then just because this means she has to take smoking breaks? yesish

Is there another aspect of her smoking that is relevant? Another aspect about the smoke breaks? Or is the ish because the smoke breaks allow for something else to happen (which perhaps is what ultimately makes him glad)?

Does anyone else take smoke breaks with her? Relevant?

Were the jury undecided on a verdict the outcome of the trialwhich could have been unfavourable for the man, and due to the nature of the crime it required a unanimous decision?

This could get a bit confusing now but;
Did the jury on the whole before her input find him guilty? Not Guilty?
Did her decision cause an early end to the trial? or the trial to be continued?

Did she vote not guilty resulting in a hung jury? Which could be good or bad for him depending on the retrial, hence the yope?
Is he glad that she smokes because had she not wanted a smoke break she might have stayed longer debating the verdict and they might have convinced her to vote guilty?
