He: human? male? adult? child?
She: human? male? adult? child?
her=she
Any other people envolved?
Any objects envolved?
Could this have happened in reality? or did it?
The relationship of him and her: family? friends? colleagues? strangers?
Did he want to be her friend?
Did he go through a traumatic experience for the purpose to please her?
Or did he go through a traumatic experience anyway and thought it could please her?
Was the traumatic experience physical? mental?
Was he ill?

He did something and it turned out (or did he know before?) that he had to go through a traumatic experience?
Is the place relevant? the country? in a building? outside?
Did the TE take minutes? hours? days? months? years?

This may sound wierd but... Did religion have anything to with this? Was she Jewish? Was he not Jewish? Did he want to marry her? And had to convert to Judiasm to do so? Did he therefore have a circumcision (told you this might sound wierd)? And then she did not marry him?

Was the tattoo on a part of the body which is visible on a man dressed in a suit? In a T-shirt and shorts?
Was the problem the placement of the tattoo? or the motive? or the fact that it was a tattoo at all?

Must be somewhere near the edges of a suit, then...
On the wrist?
Somewhere about the neck?
On the ankle (assuming he's wearing a suit with no socks, which is not normally done by the men in my family, but you never know)?
Did she actively dislike this tattoo? Or was she just not impressed?

So his explanation was: Everytime I look at my watch I can see the dot and think of you...? No

Does every second of his day revolve around her?
Does she represent the dot?

Is anything more about the watch relevant than that you can read the time from it?
Does he look at his watch very often?

Does he say she is the only one in the world for him?
that he loves her so much he needs only the tiniest thing to make him think of her?
that he doesn't even need to see it to think of her?
was it a full stop/period meaning his search was over and he had found his perfect partner?

Is the fact relevant that the spot is covered by the watch?
Was the watch a present from her?
So the spot can be seen as the finish of a sentence?
Is it related to a tattoo she has?
Or shall the spot mark the end of a period of time?

Does he take his watch off when he goes to bed? The period of time: A day? A week? Anything calendar-related? Or another period of time?
Is his explanation "every night when I take of my watch I see the spot, it reminds me of you and I dream of you"?

Is the fact that the spot is covered by the watch part of his explanation?
Is the period of time within the duration of their relationship?

**************SPOILER******************

Steve had a girlfriend who adored tattoos, and believed that they should both get one to show their love for one another. Alas, poor Steve is terrified of needles, and after getting a single dot on his wrist, he freaked out and demanded that the tattoo artist go no further. When he met his girlfriend later on in the day, excitedly asking to see his new tattoo, he sheepishly showed it to her. They had the following exchange:

She: "...What on earth is that?"
He: "A tattoo."
She: "It's a dot."
He: "Ah, but this is no ordinary dot. This is a fullstop. A period. The fact that it has been precisely positioned underneath my watch symbolises our everlasting love. I will love you until the end of time."

She was unimpressed.

Thanks to everyone for playing (Cookie, Tobias, etc), and congrats to Jazzcem for getting the final bit!
