Rain would have been far preferable. Unfortunately, this is a true story. Forget murder puzzles - this is PURE evil. ;-) |

Rain = the water-substance thing that falls from clouds? It would've been more preferable than what: sunshine? clouds? lightning? thunder? snow? It would've been more preferable for: one person? two people? three? more? Apart from the people included above, are any other people involved? If so, how many? (1,2,3...) |

Is this puzzle not for the children (if you know what I mean) ? Not really, but we'll keep it clean! Good q! ^^ Forgive my dorky question -- I just feared that, based on your first post, 'evil' indicated "stomach-turningly violent" (I am VERY squeamish ;) Anyway ... Did someone die ? Something embarrasing happen ? Does this involve cake? YOUR wedding day, perchance ? ;) |

Was it to be an outdoor wedding? indoor? Was rain preferable to sleet? hail? wind? Did wind cause things to be blown about--dresses? flowers? Or do you just mean simply that rain would have been better than what happened that day, and weather is not involved other than the fact that you (or another person) wish it had rained. Was it a bad marriage? Would rain have prevented the marriage from even happening, thus preventing divorce? Would rain have prevented the two from getting married in the first place? |

So, these two people for whom rain would've been more preferable - the bride and groom? For which would it have been 'in particular' more preferable - the bride? the groom? The other five people, do they include: the best man? the vicar/priest/ceremony presider? the mother-in-law (if so, which one)? the bridesmaid(s)? The bride's father? |

this wouldn't be the classic prank of sticking the letters HE on the sole of the groom's left shoe and then LP on the right so that we he kneels in front of the altar it spells out help? I was at a wedding where they did this to the groom? |

Did the prank come into effect before the actual ceremony? During? After? Anything to do with stag or hen nights? If so, were they actually the night before the wedding? Did the prank mean that someone was late getting there? The bride? The groom? Is it important they were ushers? Not sure what those are...the people that tell you where to sit? Did they direct people to the wrong places? |

So if it was the groomsmen playing the prank, was it at the groom's stag night? Did he have it a few days before the wedding? Afterwards? Was the prank set up then or actually played then? Did it come into effect right after the ceremony, like as the couple walked out of church? At the reception? Later that same day? Following on from the puzzle being "not for the kids"...anything to do with what the couple got up to on their wedding night (if you get my drift... ;-)) |

Was this a case of being "caught in the act"? You said this was to do with stag or hen nights. Was it the stag party or hen party that is relevant? And as the actual prank was played after the wedding, was some of the preparation done for it at the stag/hen party? |

So, they show up/crash their wedding night and the couple is caught in the act. Did they do more than this? Did they just simply say, "surprise! We're here!"? Throw them a party? Or is there more we need to figure out? You said, "not of this couple" to Enjay's question about the party. Did the groomsmen crash and discover the wrong couple, by any chance? |

Not really, though the manner in which they did it was particularly mortifying, if you wanted to figure that out Did they just simply say, "surprise! We're here!"? Sort of Throw them a party? Or is there more we need to figure out? A little You said, "not of this couple" to Enjay's question about the party. Did the groomsmen crash and discover the wrong couple, by any chance? Not this. Was it a kind of revenge? Like the groom of this story played a prank on one of his friends at his stag party a while ago, so the friend decided to get revenge by crashing the other man's wedding? When the couple got caught in the act...were only the pranksters present? Or more people? The wedding guests? The family of the bride or groom? Do we need to know where the couple were? In a bedroom? A hotel room? |

Booklover did they bust down the door? NO \b}Woodworm} Did they hide in wardrobes? YES! Bullseye! Crazypalpig Relevant it was a hotel room? You said rain would have been preferable... so they would have not gotten married outside? or the the 5 men come trhough a window or a fire exit? irrel ******SPOILER****** What’s worse than rain on your wedding day? Sophie will tell you. Shaun was a master prankster. Whenever one of his friends was getting married, he stitched them up royally on their stag night – they would wake up naked and tied to a lamppost/ dumped outside their place of work in lipstick and a dress/ hungover on a train at the wrong end of the Eurotunnel – you get the idea. So naturally, when Shaun himself got engaged to Sophie, he began to get nervous that payback was looming. When his own stag party went by with nothing worse than a few dodgy cocktails, and the wedding day itself went by the book, he foolishly thought that he’d gotten away with it. So the wedding night arrives, and Shaun and Sophie get to the hotel bridal suite, make straight for the bed and consummate the marriage. No sooner have they ‘finished’, than a round of applause breaks out – his friends appear from under the bed, inside the cupboard and behind the curtains, and treat the happy couple to a standing ovation. EVIL!!!! And I wasn’t being sexist when I said it was worse for Sophie – just that she was the innocent party in all of this and hardly deserved, or expected, anything so mortifying! Was so horrified when I heard about this that I simply had to share! Well done all and thanks for playing! |
