Did she know that he didn't know it? Did he know that she knew it? (If these questions make any sense) Is the connection between him and her relevant? Friends? Colleagues? Relatives? Teammates? Was the thing they knew/didn't know the answer to a question asked to them? Information about an object? About a person? Would he have done something different if he had known? Would he have not done something, but because he didn't know he did it? Would she have done something different had she not known? Would she have not done something, but because she knew she did do it? If he had known, and she had not known, would there have been no problem whatsoever? Is it relevant how she found the thing out? Relevant why he didn't know? |

So the same question was asked to both of them? And he got it wrong, she got it right, but they were both annoyed? Was he only annoyed because he didn't know the answer? Did something worse than just getting a question wrong happen to her because she got it right? Eg if you were playing a sort of quiz board game, and she got it right meaning she advanced onto a square aaying "miss a go"? Anything like this? |

Was this the type of quiz where you get a point for each correct answer, and at the end the person with the most points wins? Or was it more complex than that? Was it only between him and her, or were there many competing people? Were they playing individually or in teams? Is it relevant where you come into this? Were you also playing the quiz? Were you on a team with him or her? Did the fact that she knew it reflect badly on her (eg it was a fact that she would be embarrassed to admit she knew)? |

Is it something that is quite embarrassing to know? Such as the exact chart position of a Milli Vanilli single in 1982? Or was she just annoyed because she knew the answer but the question wasn't handed over to her so she didn't score a point (ie she answered just for fun)? Did she actually give the correct answer? Was she annoyed because of her friendship with the opponent who failed to get the answer right? Was it one of those annoyingly unfair questions like "how many notes in an octave"? |

Did you say something after the question was answered that annoyed her? Do something? Did you make it seem like answering the question wasn't that impressive (like "Yes, that's right, but then I would hope you knew that")? Was she right to be annoyed with you? What was the order that things happened in the puzzle statement? Was it: He is annoyed-->she is annoyed-->you are amused? or he is annoyed-->this amuses you-->she is annoyed because you are amused? Was the question asked first to him, and then to her? Or just generally to everyone playing? Did they know at the time whether they got it right, or only at the end when the answers were revealed? Relevant? |

No Was she annoyed with you as soon as she answered? Before?before she answered Not until the answers were revealed? No The exact format of the quiz is irrelevant, but something else about our quiz is very relevant. To get the irrelevant bit out of the way the quiz consists of 4 rounds of eight questions. joker can be played on one round doubling the points. Remember that the JOKER is IRRELEVANT to the puzzle. Tie break rounds can be played each consisting of 3 questions only answered by tied teams. A final "closest to the answer is often used after two tie break rounds. ALL OF THIS IS IRRELEVANT |

With apologies to Bentarm for ignoring his questions but... Rabrab: Had she previously run a pub quiz and used that question? No Was she planning to run a pub quiz in the near future, and had that question in her line-up, but you "stole" it from her?EXACTLY!!!!! ****************SPOILER****************** In one of my local pubs we run a pub quiz every week. Each week a different person sets the questions. Recently it was my turn and I asked the question "what is Stinking Bishop?" at this one of my friends was annoyed because he didn't know the answer, while the team he was neck and neck with did. One of the members of the other team was also annoyed- but in her case because I had "stolen" one of her questions for the next week! Well done to all who took part! |
