Are these actual ducks? Are they lined up in a row? Are there three objects in this row or five? The two "extra ducks" are they real ducks? decoys? |

The second duck is dumb. The water reflects an image of the first duck which is infront of him and at his back also reflects an image of the third duck.. Correct? |

The second duck is so thirsty that he is hallucinating ;-) If not, my money is on Eyehategod's answer about reflections in the water. |

Does the second duck consider himself one of the ducks in front and one of the ducks in back? (maybe he sees his beak and thinks it is another duck in front and sees his tail and thinks it is another duck behind?) |

Is the first duck's statement correct? second? third? Are you walking with the ducks? so the ducks are commenting about ducks in front and behind you? |

Deceptively simple :P But you should write "S P O I L E R" (sans spaces) if the riddle was guessed. |
