Can 'them'(1), 'them'(2), 'they' and 'one' all be replaced by the same word? which has a different meaning in the different contexts? ie 'nuts' could kill him cos he has a peanut allergy, but he's playing poker so he wants the 'nuts', the best possible hand. He's just made a big bluff, so some would think he's a pretty brave player, so he has 'nuts', meaning balls, or that he is a 'nut', meaning crazy for betting with nothing.
