Posted on Thursday, September 13, 2007 - 12:09 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'I' means you (Eli)? or someone else is speaking? It's me speaking they - humans? adult? Yes, but 'they' is here use more in a general sense, not someone spesific change - alter? Yes switch (like clothes)? Not this it - something tangible? information? No to both title relevant? Might be helpful after a while, determining the nature of 'it' |

is something wrong with it? has something occurred to bring about this need to change it? does it have to be changed urgently? should it be changed urgently? is this just your opinion that it should be changed, or is there quantifiable evidence that it has to be changed? will it be changed? are 'they' the people who can change 'it'? owners? administrators? aides? inventors? discoverers? is 'their' relationship to 'it' relevant? |

It's just not accurate anymore has something occurred to bring about this need to change it? Not really, just that new information has arisen does it have to be changed urgently? should it be changed urgently? No to both is this just your opinion that it should be changed, or is there quantifiable evidence that it has to be changed? Hmm, tricky. It's my opinion and a few more, but quantifiable? Not sure about that. will it be changed? Can't imagine it ever will. are 'they' the people who can change 'it'? No owners? administrators? aides? inventors? discoverers? is 'their' relationship to 'it' relevant? Not really |

'They' who are not anyone spesific, would of course be more than one. The others that also think 'it' should be changed, are not relevant either, just some discussions I found on the net. any relevant ocupations? No-ish. sunburn relevant? So it's a saying that has since become archaic, or not relevant anymore? All that's left is to identify the saying? Or is there more to explore? |

Noobdogg Posted on Thursday, September 13, 2007 - 3:59 pm: ------------------------------------------------- So it's a saying that has since become archaic, or not relevant anymore? Not really, it's still in use. But there is "evidence" that it might not be correct. All that's left is to identify the saying? No, see next answer Or is there more to explore? Yes, find the saying and then to explore why it seems inaccurate to me and some other people. ~damia~ Posted on Thursday, September 13, 2007 - 5:27 pm: ------------------------------------------------- is it a saying about women/feminism? work? a hobby? religious connection - christian? muslim? judaism? buddhism? shinto? paganism? does the saying contain the word 'god'? does the saying express some sort of feeling/emotion? if so, would you say it when relieved? when surprised? when happy? when sad? when worried? when amused? when confused? |

Posted on Friday, September 14, 2007 - 5:11 am: -------------------------------------------------religious connection - You caught me there. The religious concept mentioned in the saying exists in Christianity. And I would say in Judadism and Islam as well. Maybe not in Buddhism, as I think they don't recognize any gods. For paganism I wouldn't be sure at all. christian? muslim? judaism? buddhism? shinto? paganism? does the saying contain the word 'god'? No does the saying express some sort of feeling/emotion? Tricky, but not really. And definitely not one of those listed below. if so, would you say it when relieved? when surprised? when happy? when sad? when worried? when amused? when confused? |

what about... heaven? as in the saying 'heavens above', in exasperation (well, thats how mum said it)? now should be changed since clever people figured out that we live in a universe, not a tabernacle as stated in the bible. or hell? I can't think of an example. divinity? smiting? (WAG, but i couldn't help myself, it's such a good god word :-) ) |

I really hope that it hasn't.. never mind the after life.. I would have to do many things on earth that I really wasn't planning on!! (and I wouldn't be alone!) Does this have anything to do with a religious definition of hell? or anything geographic? is any measurable temperature relevant? |

'When Hell freezes over' should now be an outdated saying as they even sell photos taken of the train station during winter months - with metres of snow.
