Well a previous quis (stating the obvious)established that you were often on the campus of the University of Georgia...so a relevant question seemed to be... so the word is tree, but not dreived from the middle of street? So is tree part of the name of the street? part of a word which is part of the name of the street? Part of a name of a building on the street? Part of the name of a street off that street? |

Is something about her eyesight relevant? Is "street" written down somewhere? Are the letters of the word "street" written down somewhere? as this is a true story, does it happen regularly? And always with the same pair of words? Does she score points in the game? Would seeing the tree be better than seeing the street? If she only saw the tree and not the street, would this be worse or better than the actual scenario? |

Scrabble? Literati or some other scrabble clone? Is it relevant that St. (STREET - TREE) is the normal abbreviation for Street? Is it relevant that "ST" is permitted in UK scrabble but not in the US? (I know some ridiculously trivial things, I'm afraid.) |

So it's a type of word-search where you score six for a six-letter word and four for a four? So if the shorter word is embedded it's easier to overlook it, eg B(ATHROB)E? |

Are the letters of the word 'street' visible on her computer screen?yes Are they in that order?no are they all touching?no Are they displayed inside square "tiles"?yes if so, are the tiles touching at the sides?no diagonally?no was it text twist?no, but a different version of the same type of game i love that one! ************SPOILER************** My family and I all love to play Word Whomp (similar to text twist) in which you are given a set of six letters and you are to find all the words that can be made using all or some of the letters. Longer words are given more value. For some reason, whenever the word "tree" is one of the words you can make with the letters, my mom never gets it. If she plays by herself, often "tree" and "trees" are the only words in a set that she will miss. When we work together to get all the words, inevitably someone else sees "tree," not her. Therefore, with the letters E T R S T E, for example, even when she sees "Street" she never sees "Tree" |
