Was there a pun involved?

For example was he trying to blow up a balloon and he remarked that he needed more wind?

Did he say that he needed something to create more wind?

Wind could be the answer to our fuel crisis?

68:
were you referring to propane? natural gas? another gas? gasoline?this a car?for this a grill?
did he say I need gas?yes, he didn't "say" it exactly, but that's cose enough to spoil...

****************SPOIL*******************
That went fast, but then I thought it would...
Whenever I see someone that has a sign, it usually reads, "will work for food" or something close. The other day I was driving down the road with my two sons when I saw a man with a sign that read, "I need gas"...now, before you think I am mean, I didn't actually give him a can of beans. It just made me think of "gas" as in flatulance and lateral puzzles. Sort of like the "Eat here, get gas" roadside diner signs.

Thanks to everyone who participated and 68 who spoiled!
