Because it was a few inches too short and he didn't want to rotate, she had a cylindrical object thrust into her back. Hint: This puzzle is rated PG. |

Spin the bottle? No s "it" a sort of weapon? Yope a fake weapon? Yope Do you need any equipment to play the game? Yes is "it" part of the equipment? Yes all of the equipment? No Is the cylindrical object part of the equipment? Yes all of the equipment? No Were the people playing the game arranged in a circle? No relevant? Yes Were they seated? No relevant? Yes Incidentally, when you say this puzzle is rated PG as a hint, is that supposed to be PG as opposed to 18? or PG as opposed to U? I live in the United States where the movie rating system is (least objectionable) G, PG, PG-13, R (most objectionable). I meant PG as opposed to R - there is no sexual activity involved in this puzzle despite what it might have seemed like from the puzzle statement |

Wait a minute! R isn't most objectionable... You've still got NC-17 after that and then we get into the X through XXX ratings that aren't normally used for serious films. Heh, guess you haven't seen many films in the R+ categories. I second the larping idea... if not... Is this a board game? A strategy game? A paper/pencil/dice role playing game? Are the objects involved real? Imaginary? Video games relevant? Is the Nintendo Wii relevant? |

paintball? No, I already said it was a LARP so he took his cylindrical item (maybe a sword Yes or a staff of some sort), and tried to kill her. Yes When she moved FA, she didn't move, instead of being able to kill her (by a blow to the heart or some other place that would kill her) he only maimed her by hitting her in the back? No, and by the way, in this game hits to the torso and back are both considered kills. Hits to the arm or leg result in loss of that limb. |

rotate = to turn? or might be like "rotating positions" (as in, after you lose in four-square or some such kids game, one person leaves and everyone "rotates"(switches positions))? do we know what "it" is that's too short? is "it" a physical object? or something nonphyiscal like "time" or "patience"? so, was "it" maybe another type of weapon? maybe a dagger, or some short sword? maybe he had one weapon in each hand, one that was too short and would make him have to turn to kill her, and the longer sword?...and because "it" was too short and he didn't want to rotate (turn), he ended up killing her by thrusting his sword (which was longer) in her back? was he afraid that if he turned, he would be off balance? was he afraid that he would possibly be killed himself? |

Yesish if the item was long enough would he have tried to kill her with it in the relevant moment? If by "He" you mean "Bob", then no was Bob going to engage with Sue so that a teammate would go for the kill If by "engage" you mean "rotate", yes , then Bob did not rotate Yes, but the teammate went for the kill anyway? A different teammate went for the kill speaking of engagement, was Bob going to propose to Sue in the martal sense? No RECAP: There are 4 characters in the puzzle so far: Sue - Had the sword stabbed into her back Bob - Sue's boyfriend, on opposite teams from Sue, didn't want to rotate. And two more than we haven't given names to but I'll do so here: Bill - On Bob's team, stabbed Sue with sword John - Also on Bob's team, no other information found yet

so, I have always assumed that Bob was the one holding the short "it", am I correct or mistaken in this assumption? Did Sue happen to have the short "it"? did Sue come after Bob with the item that happened to be too short? and missed? and Bob would have to rotate to kill her (and expose himself), so Bill killed Sue with the sword? so, trying to piece together the pieces of this puzzle (sorry if I repeat things) here's a guess of the scenario...hope I'm getting closer! John had the short "it", and wanted to kill Sue with it if Bob rotated. But the short "it" was too short, so Bob didn't want to rotate. Because Bob didn't rotate, Bill killed Sue with his longer sword by stabbing her in the back. do we need to know where everyone is standing in this puzzle? |

Yes But the short "it" was too short, so Bob didn't want to rotate. No, the reason Bob didn't want to rotate has nothing to do with it being too short Because Bob didn't rotate, Bill killed Sue with his longer sword by stabbing her in the back. This puzzle has died (I forgot to post the recap) so I'll just spoil now: SPOILER This actually happened at my LARP group (I was John). John, Bob, and Bill were on one team, and Sue was on another team. Bob told John to shoot at Sue because she was a healer and was healing her teammates, but said to be careful not to hit her in the head because she was his girlfriend. John tried to shoot, but since the arrow was too short it could not be drawn back far enough, making the shot miss, and Sue ran away. As John moved into position for another shot, Bob suddenly ran up and hugged Sue - completely blocking John's line of fire. John told Bob to rotate so that he could see Sue to shoot at, but Bob didn't want to. While Bob and Sue were locked in their loving embrace, Bill snuck around and stabbed Sue in the back. |
