Was he trying to amuse his son by doing something? So his son was simply watching him? Was he mimicing something or someone? Performing some sort of trick? magic? slapstick? Were they in a public place? a park? a zoo? at home? school? an ice rink? Did it appear at first sight that he was doing something obscene in front of the child? So the "abuse" was emotional or mental? Or did it appear thath e was about to do something physical? Is there anything particular about the father or the son we need to uncover? physical or mental attributes? The fact that it could only happen in certain countries... to do with the law there? skin colour? language? weather? regional humor / tradition / customs? |

Were they in a place where a parent would not normally take a child? Is there a relevant reason why the observers (those who called the police)assumed that Lionel was not the child's father? Did Lionel appear to possess any material objects of relevance? Did the child? |

So Lionel and his child are walking side-by-side, outdoors, in a public place, dressed appropriately, not carrying anything inappropriate and not physically touching each other, yet something about the situation appeared to be inappropriate. Any false assumptions in this statement? Was Lionel walking upright (as opposed to on all fours)? the child? Was Lionel making any noise? the child? Was the child human? Did people think that Lionel was not the child's father because of his apparent age? Was Lionel handicapped? physically? mentally? Did they have to pay an admission fee to be in this place? |

were these particular woods known for having bad activities occur there? (I ask this because I know of a wooded place where I live that have had bad activities occur, so if you saw a man and a boy walk out of the woods at this particular park, you would think, hmmm...did something go on there?) |

The horror of real sexual abuse of either children or adults can hardly be exaggerated, but many people are accused of this on incredibly flimsy grounds. Lionel (who is based on a real person I read about) was stopped by the police while walking in the woods with his son. People had called the police because they saw a man taking a child into the woods! Isn't that silly? Maybe that's why it took nso long for this puzzle to get solved. Please check out my new one. |
