Uncle Bill: human adult male? Is it relevant that he is an uncle? Were the ashes of his body scattered? Or any other ashes? If yes, did they disappear somehow? Did they blow away? Were cleaned up? |

Is Bill dead? Or at last, was he dead when he was scattered? Is the reason no ashes could be found simply because there were no ashes to start with? Was Bill divided in any way in order to be scattered? Scattered as in pieces distributed in various places, or whatever the usual definition of the word is? |

Was he cut up? I.e. his body was cut into X number of large pieces and set to the far corners of the earth? Sliced and diced? Was his "scattered" state an accident? Intentional? Does this take place in... North America? Europe? South America? Asia? Middle East? Africa? Austrailia? Pacific islands? Atlantic Islands? Antarctica? On earth? Is this at all similar to the story of Isis and Osiris? (Osiris was cut up into pieces by his evil brother and each piece was burried in different places). |

did he thaw back out? is it one of those cryogenic type things? I think the general idea of those is hoping that one day in the future he can be cured? but if he asked to be scattered not sure how that works - did he ask to be? or did he have his head frozen so one day it could be attached to a monkey body or something? |

Is the method of Bill's freezing relevant? Liquid Nitrogen? Stuck in a meat cooler? <insert>? Is Terminator relevant? (thinking of the bad guy in Terminator 2 who got super-cooled and shattered on the highway). Is it just his scattering that's relevant at this point? I.e. he was dropped from a high altitude and *ker-spling* ice shards everywhere? Was he put inside a box, then put inside another box, mailed to his greatest enemy, and when the package arrived, that person hit the box with a hammer??? Or did they decide to save on postage? |

Longshot - Bill's frozen remains were somehow evaporated into the atmosphere and fell back to earth as snow (powder)? ********* SPOILER ************ As an alternative to burial, cremation is no longer green enough, say environmentalists, because it releases smoke and mercury, and thus the industry is considering "promession," in which the body is frozen in liquid nitrogen to minus-320 degrees (F) and then shaken until it disintegrates into powder. For green burials, the United States has at least six cemeteries that require biodegradable casings and for bodies to be free of embalming chemicals. The Forever Fernwood cemetery in Mill Valley, Calif., goes even further, according to an October Los Angeles Times story, banning grave markers, but, said the owner, "We issue the family a Google map with the GPS coordinates" so they can find their loved one. [Los Angeles Times, 10-28-07; Evening Standard (London), 10-10-07] Thanks so much guys! Lots of good work on this one! |
