Venetia - H?A?F? Is she no longer willing to fly due to... Fear? Sentimental reasons? Logistical reasons? Financial reasons? Safety reasons? Off-chance that she'll run into her ex? Other? Is her reason directly linked to her... Her personality/mental state? Failed marriage? Her ex-husband? Her job? His job? |

Was she pregnant? Nausea? Fear of miscarriage? Is the reason related to physical issues at all? Would she have had the same reservations about flying in a large airplane? Is her reason directly linked to her... Wedding? Something else that happened during the course of her marriage? Weight/Size? (Did depression cause her to gain too much weight to comfortably fit in a plane?) |

Did something happen during her Marriage? During her Wedding? Was that something traumatic? Did the presence of her husband enable her to continue flying on small airplanes? Is his absence causing her problem to become more of an issue? Was he a sort of security blanket? Did her husband perform some function that enabled her to continue flying on small planes? Does she pass out on small airplanes? Does she medicate herself heavily and sleep through the flight? Does her medication... body...plastic surgery... brain chemistry... not mix well with certain conditions associated with small airplanes? |

Is there some standard proceedure for small airplanes that all passengers must be comfortable with doing? Some sort of condition? And she isn't? (I.e. putting on a parachute? Opening the emergency exit?) Are electronic/bionic devices at all relevant? During the 6 months after her husband left, did she fly in small airplanes? Did something happen while onboard? Did she discover the issue then? Was there a pre-existing condition? Or did this develop after the break-up? |

How small is small: a private airplane (that holds the pilot and maybe 3-4 other people)? a small commercial airplane (that holds ~10 passengers plus a few members of the crew)? Does it have to do with seeing out the front of the airplane? with seeing the controls? with seeing the pilot in action? Would she be willing to ride in the cockpit of a larger airplane, if she were allowed to do so? |

Is V's unwillingness to fly in a small plane reasonable? Is it based on a misunderstanding of any kind? Was there some relevant event six months after V's husband left her that triggered her unwillingness? At the time her husband left her, could she have anticipated that six months later she would be unwilling to fly in a small plane? The significant differences between a small airplane and a large airplane (that is relevant to her problem) is... The size of the aircraft? The size of the components within the aircraft? The amount of space inside? The propellers? The jets? The proximity of the pilot to the passengers? The proximity of all passengers to each other? People are not permitted to stand up and walk along the aisles in small airplanes? (because they lack bathrooms to walk to anyway?) Does she have some condition that requires her to get up and move around every so often? |

Does this have anything to do with the statistic that you have between 2 and 6 times as much of a chance of dying in a small airplane as you do in a car? |

Hi Is it like she is afraid of being in solitude or being alone in a small plane or sitting besides a stranger who she feels would misbehave with her or play with her emotions and there would be limited number of people, or else not all to listen to her or would probably play with her feelings. She would be more comfortable in a larger plane where there are more passengers. |

This may appear a bit out of left field but what the heck. Is it relevant that sometimes on small planes passengers are asked to move seats to maintain a proper weight distribution? (I'm a chronic aviaphopic and avoid flying unless absolutely necessary. I trace this back to a flight on a small plane where myself and my fellow passenger were asked to swop seats to balance the plane} Does she have a preference as to what side of the plane she sits on? Does she relate this to what side of the bed she sleeps on? Has she started to sleep on a different side of the bed (or in the middle) since her husband left? Is the marriage bed relevant in any way? |

Did she put on weigt since her husband left? Comfort eating? Or lose weight through stress? Is she worried she will tip the plane, or unbalance it? Or will she be embarrassed to go on the plane? |

YES!!! So glad you're back, clever Kdoc!! ********** SPOILER ************ After Lucete's husband left her, she sensibly sought solace in cake, cookies & candy,, which was fun, but got her fat. Then she took a trip on a small plane. "Where do I sit?" she asked, & got the reply, "We seat you by weight. What do you weigh?" Whe resolved not to take a small plane again. . .unless she lost weight, of course. Please check out my new puzzle. |

FYI Funduuuu is slang that used to be quite popular in India as well, that is a bit like "Rad" or "Coool!" but used specifically for something smart or witty. I assume its derived from "Fundaa" which is slang for "ideals" or "fundamental opinion". He was complementing your puzzle. You don't really have to respond. |
