"If you'd kept going, you'd have saved me the job" he said. I wanted the world to swallow me up, my day was getting even worse. What was going on? |

Had you been doing something dangerous? Detrimental to your health? Could it have killed you? If you'd kept going, you'd have ended up in such a bad way, that it would have been pointless him doing anything, thus saving him 'the job'? |

Had you been doing something dangerous? potentially Detrimental to your health? not normally Could it have killed you? not very likely If you'd kept going, you'd have ended up in such a bad way, that it would have been pointless him doing anything, thus saving him 'the job'? being in 'a bad way' would not have been the reason it would have saved him the job |

Hmmm... I believe I know what was removed... but not sure what activity that you discontinued could have 'saved him the job'... Was he joking when he said that? (or) did he honestly believe that you could have saved him the job by continuing with that activity? He was commenting on something he observed? pre-procedure? post-procedure? during the procedure? He was responding to something you said? Could you have still saved him the job by starting the activity again? Is it possible to have restarted the activity? Would you have wanted to? Would you want to now? Are you able to now? Is it one activity done repeatedly? an activity done to a certain stage/point? A recreational activity? An activity relative to your profession? Would you have had to repeatedly perform the activity in order to maintain the unnecessity of the procedure? Is it relevant how much time had passed since you stopped performing the activity and the procedure? If so: relevant because you could have only saved him the job by performing that activity at that age? time? in that place? relevant because the result of that activity which would make the procedure unnecessary diminishes with time? increases with time? |

If so, no relevant because the result of that activity which would make the procedure unnecessary diminishes with time? it's more that the evidence of the activity diminishes increases with time? no |

LOL and welcome to the club.. To quote an old joke I found it made a "Vas Deferens" to my life. So had you been doing some activity that would have made you sterile in the long term? Is it anything to do with wearing tight pants (I assume that's a myth)? Was the activity cycling? other sport? Without getting graphic anything that involved wearing a box? |

Shaving? YES, and that's a... ******SPOILER****** In preparation for my snip I'd been asked to shave myself thoroughly. I normally use an electric shaver on my face, but I decided to give myself a wet shave. I'm inexperience in my technique to say the least and made a right mess of myself (my wife describe it as a baboon's bum!). The next day when I got to the clinic (having come straight from my Grandfather's funeral (what a day hey?!)) I sheepishly apologised for the mess I was in whilst pulling down my particulars and the doctor replied "If you'd kept going, you'd have saved me the job". What a day!!! Thanks for taking part everyone and I'm sorry if that was all a bit graphic, I did try to keep it pleasant. |
