This may prove a quick one, but here goes: Following a newspaper story about sharks off the coast of Cornwall, what pun did I come up with? |

Is the particular type of shark relevant? Would it be unusual to find this type of shark of the coast of cornwall? They weren't `basking` in the sunshine were they? |

Is the particular type of shark relevant? yes Would it be unusual to find this type of shark of the coast of cornwall? yes They weren't `basking` in the sunshine were they? yes, there were basking sharks and sunshine's involved, but it's (slightly) cleaverer than 'basking' in the sunshine |

HINT: The word 'basking' is relevant. Basically, the conversation went something like: "Look, here's a story about sharks of the Cornish coast" "They're only Basking sharks" "Well, maybe they're just... |

Would the pun work for any UK coast? US coast? coast? Would the pun work if the sharks were discovered in an area of an ocean where they are fairly uncommon/rare/typically absent? Would the pun work if the story was about the sharks washing up on a beach? |

Would the pun work for any UK coast? US coast? coast? any coast really, but the pun makes more sense in sunnier areas Would the pun work if the sharks were discovered in an area of an ocean where they are fairly uncommon/rare/typically absent? probably Would the pun work if the story was about the sharks washing up on a beach? so long as they were basking sharks, yes |

So the coast/ location is irrelevant bar the fact it is a sunny area? place where sunlight can be enjoyed? heat from the sun can be enjoyed? the sun in general can be enjoyed? Iff no for 'enjoyed', would 'experienced' be more accurate? |

So the coast/ location is irrelevant bar the fact it is a sunny area? yes place where sunlight can be enjoyed? yes this... heat from the sun can be enjoyed? ...and, this too, yes the sun in general can be enjoyed? this is less precise than statements above Iff no for 'enjoyed', would 'experienced' be more accurate? enjoyed works better |
