Is he a fictional character? Someone from sci-fi? Is he human? Is the puzzle statement in red for any special reason? |

Is he a fictional character? No. Someone from sci-fi? No. Is he human? Yes. Is the puzzle statement in red for any special reason? Not really... Has a very vague relevance, so it doesn't really matter |

They said it was his alter ego that impregnated him? made him feel impregnated? felt impregnated itself? allowed/sought a situation that led to him feeling impregnated? Does he actually have an alter ego? They = friends? family? relevant who 'they' are? Was it 'they' who allowed/sought a situation that led to him feeling impregnated? Was it himself that allowed/sought a situation that led to him feeling impregnated? |

Adult? No. Male? Yes. Real-life? Yes. You? NO! Someone you know? Nope. Friend of a friend? Nope. Was he impregnated? Elaborate on this... I need to know what exactly you mean by impregnated. He isn't technically pregnant though. Did he feel like he had been violated in some manner? No. They said it was his alter ego that impregnated him? Yes, but impregnated and alter ego are not to be taken very literally... explore :-) Made him feel impregnated? Yes. felt impregnated itself? No. allowed/sought a situation that led to him feeling impregnated? No. Does he actually have an alter ego? Yes, but explore... They = friends? family? None of these. relevant who 'they' are? Yes. Was it 'they' who allowed/sought a situation that led to him feeling impregnated? No. Was it himself that allowed/sought a situation that led to him feeling impregnated? No. |

@Liquizt So child? Yes. Newspaper/Online article? Could be, but that's not where I encountered it. @Woodworm Is he a famous person? An actor? Is his alter ego simply the character he plays? No to all. |

Hmmm. Did he feel pregnant (as opposed to "impregnated" with catnip, or some other such usage)? Did he genuinely believe that he was going to have a baby? Did he just feel fat? Did he have a visible bulge? Did he feel movements in his belly? Did he have a sex change? Did he want to? Is his alter ego a woman? They = literary critics? Historians? Fans? Humorists of some sort? Strange to feel so thoroughly stumped so early in a puzzle! |

Hmmm. Did he feel pregnant (as opposed to "impregnated" with catnip, or some other such usage)? He did feel "pregnant", but not exactly in the sort of way that women do. "Impregnated with catnip" - impregnated isn't used that way in this puzzle. Did he genuinely believe that he was going to have a baby? No, he did not believe that he was going to give birth, but he felt a bulge... Did he just feel fat? No. Did he have a visible bulge? Very much so. Did he feel movements in his belly? Not in his belly... (Will give way too much if I say anything more, so explore :-) ) Did he have a sex change? No. Did he want to? No. Is his alter ego a woman? No. They = literary critics? Historians? Fans? Humorists of some sort? None of these. Strange to feel so thoroughly stumped so early in a puzzle! :-D |

Was he wearing a fat suit? or one of those 'beer belly' things (a bag you can fill up with beer and wear on your chest to appear fat in order to sneak drink into events where it's banned or they request you not to bring in any outside food or drink so they can sell you their own at extortinate prices)? some similar extra weight worn on the stomach? |

Quick recap Qs: Doctors (or nurses, it doesn't seem to matter which) said it was his alter ego that was making him feel impregnated? was kicking or otherwise moving (KoOMing) against his belly? And these KoOMs against his belly were outside his clothes? Was the thing KoOMing, something that was alive? himself? an animal? |

And these KoOMs against his belly were outside his clothes? No. Was the thing KoOMing, something that was alive? Yes, it was alive. himself? No. an animal? No. |

So he felt something moving against his belly, but not inside his clothes, and not outside his clothes? So, is he not actually wearing clothes? Or is it all in his imagination? And the kicking/moving thing is alive but not an animal: it an alien life-form? A plant? A person? An imaginary person? A part of his own body? |

the kicking and moving .. did it come from between the clothing and the body? did he know what the reason was? did he see the doctor in order to find out the reason? if not an animal, then, perhaps, more than one animal? |

Damn, I would've loved to answer Woodworm's and Sundowner's questions, but BigPurple made the lateral leap to a... ********************SPOILER!!!************************ The puzzle is about a 12 year old Egyptian boy with a parasitic twin living inside him. It was detected after 12 years, when he noticed a distinct bump near his bladder. Good work Bigpurple, and Liquizt and Woodworm for doing all the ground work. Thanks everyone for playing along :-). |
