Or home is in home base? Was he running toward a catcher who was holding a baseball ready to tag him out? Was the man in the mask a fireman/hazmat worker/etc? and this indicated he was in danger if he kept on going toward his home? Was he living illegally in a cave in a national park? and the man in the mask was a member of an FBI swat team brought together to remove him from the park by force? Was he a scientologist who saw someone in a Guy Fawke's mask heading toward his house? Was it Halloween? and he realized he forgot to buy candy for the trick or treaters and was running back to the store to get it?
