Is it to do with announcing the winner of something? Announcing something that was unsurprising? Does 'it' refer to something said, something done, an event? Did a person or group of people organize a surprise? Was it necessary? Because of tradition? Law? Other? Is it something that would normally be surprising? How many relevant people are involved? 1,2,3,4,5,...,? |

So would we use this "equipment" Daily? Weekly? Monthly? Yearly? If its not a warning is it more an obvious statement about the product? Could the puzzle be rephrased: 'It was obvious to everyone, so why was it necessary' |

If its not a warning is it more an obvious statement about the product? yes Could the puzzle be rephrased: 'It was obvious to everyone, so why was it necessary' maybe that would have been better |

We=the general public. Would you buy this "equipment" at a grocery store? Hardware store? Electronic store? Clothing store? Cosmetics store? Furniture store? Do we only need to discover what the obvious statement is and what object it refers to? Or is there more to the puzzle? |

So it is a toy of some sort? Is it a game? Is it a toy for infants? toddlers? young children (say, 4-8 years old)? older children (8-12)? teenagers? adults? If it's for adults, is it an "adult" product? And it is potentially offensive/embarrassing - would you have to actively do anything with it in order to be offended/embarrassed by it (e.g., spelling naughty words with the Scrabble tiles)? Or is the idea that the thing itself might be offensive/embarrassing to some people? Is it one of those games where the whole point of it is to be offensive/embarrassing (e.g., where you sit around asking your friends very personal questions)? |

Sugarshane: anything to do with an object being- recalled? no flamable? no adult only? noage restriction of any kind? well, since it's a toy (see below) it's mostly for kids also ohlala8,not puzzle related, i had responded to a statement you made to me in the chatroom and never heard back. Did you see it? I'm not sure what you're talking about, but if you mean the age thing, then yes, and I responded. Buzzard: So it is a toy of some sort? this Is it a game? And it is potentially offensive/embarrassing this is a mislead - the toy itself isn't potentially embarrassing, or at least not in any obvious way - would you have to actively do anything with it in order to be offended/embarrassed by it (e.g., spelling naughty words with the Scrabble tiles)? Ok, since it's not about what not to do with the toy, is it about what you're supposed do with the toy? Such as "only use this outdoors" or "for swimming pool use only" ? |

Okay. Honestly, it's not worth all this, I just thought it was funny. *********SPOILER******************* I had one of those magic sets when I was a a kid (you know, with a plastic wand and the accessories to do a bunch of tricks). On the front of the box was a picture of a boy doing "magic" with all the stuff, and a disclaimer reading "boy not included." Was anyone really surprised? Thanks for trying, and if I might direct your attention to my other two puzzles, which aren't at dead ends... |
