George made two statements in succession. Each statement was factually true, uncontroversial, and did not offend anyone. However by making these two statements together, he demonstrated his ignorance. |

Does George= our former president, by any chance? Are the two statements about the same topic? Related topics? Were either about him? About his audience? Would anyone listening be able to detect his ignorance? Would one need any specialized knowledge to do so? Is he talking to a specific person? To a specific group of people? Is he being broadcast in any way? |

Does George= our former president, by any chance? Yope - it actually comes from a political comedy routine parodying GWB. Are the two statements about the same topic? Yesish Related topics? See previous answer Were either about him? The second one was, but not the first About his audience? No Would anyone listening be able to detect his ignorance? Yes Would one need any specialized knowledge to do so? One would need a specific piece of knowledge, but it's not at all obscure or specialized, really Is he talking to a specific person? Irrelevant To a specific group of people? Irrelevant Is he being broadcast in any way? Irrelevant |

So did he make a statement about something, and then make a statement about himself, clearly trying to draw a false connection between them? Were either of the statements painfully obvious (there's an actual quote from dubya "Teach a child to read, and him or her can pass a literacy test")? Were they grammatically correct? Correctly pronounced? Gahhhh nuke-u-ler! |

They were both fairly obvious, but this was not what made them demonstrative of ignorance Were they grammatically correct? Yes Correctly pronounced? Yes |

Was the first statement about foreign policy? the economy? social programs? white house practices? the court system? the legislature? a particular law? something he wanted to do as president? something that a previous president had done? a historical event? a current event? |

Did he claim that a certain something was good/helpful, and then connected himself with that thing? Did the second statement make it obvious that he knew nothing about subject of the first? Was he trying to discuss computers? Something more familiar to a younger generation? Something relevant to his job? |

Did saying the two statements one after the other imply there was some connection when actually there wasn't? e.g. I'm going on holiday to Brazil tomorrow. I've been taking Spanish lessons all week. |

Anything to do with the scene in the movie Bruno (which was the WORST MOVIE EVER by the way) where Bruno says he is very interested in the Israeli conflict because he wants to "make the Jews and Hindus friends"? Some similar situation? |

Some similar situation? No, but since Bentarm has already made the logical leap required to solve the puzzle, the example he gave was very close, and the only way you're going to figure out the rest is "20 Questions" style guessing, I'll just give you the... SPOILER: This comes from a performance by the political satire group The Capitol Steps, imitating President Bush. Upon hearing that North Korean missiles can reach Seattle, he says: "Seattle is in Washington. I live in Washington."
