If so, was it... ...buying new clothes? accessories? ...getting a haircut? manicure? pedicure? ...cosmetic surgery? ...seeking advice? from a friend? relative? professional? (I read an article in The Washington Post a few weeks ago about how some tennagers are hiring image consultants to improve their appearance.) You said "not be not embarrassing" - was the double negative a mistake? | ||

Hairspray? Did she intend to use something in her hair that isn't normally considered a hair product, such as egg whites or lemon juice? Did she use a hair product that she didn't actually buy? Is this a fairly common method of improving the appearance of one's hair? So it's the actual purchase/obtaining of the hair product that is embarassing? Does the reason it was embarassing have anything to do with what else she was buying? Who she was getting it from? Her hair color/style? Her personality? Previous events we need to figure out? Is there a religious reason this might be embarassing? (i.e. Mormon's/Muslims aren't supposed to imbibe alcohol). But I did read someplace that beer makes your hair shiny, so I decided to try it. I went to a liquor store &--of course--ran into that very student. You bet that I did not say it was for my hair!
