He is among the best in the world at what he does, and would still be among the best no matter where in the world he worked. However, due to a habit he has, there is one place in the world he would not be able to work. Who is this mystery man, and why would this be the case? |

Does the "habit he has" have anything to do with the thing he is best in the world at doing? Is the place a country? A city? A building? A geographical feature? A monument? A historical site? |

Also, does "not be able" to work mean physically unable to work? Not allowed to work? Mentally/emotionally unable to work? |

Does the "habit he has" have anything to do with the thing he is best in the world at doing? Yope Is the place a country? This A city? But this too. It's hard to explain. A building? A geographical feature? A monument? A historical site? None of these Also, does "not be able" to work mean physically unable to work? No Not allowed to work? Mentally/emotionally unable to work? Sort of a cross between the last two, both of which by themselves would have "yope" as an answer |

City-state? Singapore? (I'd consider the Vatican a historical site.) Is he a real person? Is this set in the modern era? If not, LTPF list of centuries. Also, LTPF list of continents. By work, you mean as a paid professional? Is his expertise due to training? Experience? Genetics? Would he be endangered in this one spot where he cannot work? If so, would the danger be from people or from nature? Are the weather or season relevant? Possible list of professions: Artistic? Musical? Agriculture? Hunter? Fisherman? Banking? Financial? Real estate? Clerical? Administrative? Receptionist? Computer related? Hardware? Information technology? Construction? Craftsman? Criminal? Jailbird? Education? Academic Research? Entertainment? Media? Executive? Management? Hospitality? Travel? Food Service? Law enforcement? Police? Legal Services? Manufacturing? Distributions? Medical? Health Services? Politics? Government? Military? Sales? Marketing? Tradesman? Religion? Retired person? Occupational disease? Sports? Student? Trainee? Teaching? Child care? Technical? Science? Engineering? Transportation? Unemployed? Writer? Editor? Translator? Interpreter? Other? |

(I'd consider the Vatican a historical site.) I agree, and almost didn't guess it for that reason. But there's a chance he's talking about something in the city but outside of the Vatican itself. Can't hurt to guess it anyway. |

I'm curious why Bentarm thought of chewing gum after learning the location was Singapore. Is it illegal in Singapore? |

Ok, so he is a sports coach who chews gum out of superstition or habit. Because he chews gum, he can't coach his sport in Singapore because chewing gum is illegal there. All we have left is to figure out who the coach is? Or is there more? |
