I don't know whether or not this is a Scrund but ... When I was younger I used to think something (a scrund) that I wouldn't have thought if I were someone else. What is it? (might be a quickie) |

"Someone else" - someone specific? A member of a certain group? Someone who isn't a member of a group, to which you belong? Is of a different nationality? Religion (or lack thereof)? Race? Gender? Generation? From what you can see in my profile, can you tell whether it's likely/possible that I may have had this scrund? That I definitely would not have? I see from your profile that you come from Ireland - has the scrund, by any chance, got anything to do with conflicts in Northern Ireland? Any of the combatants in these conflicts? The peace process? |

Is the scrund about a religion? A race? A nationality? Would the scrund have been avoided if you... were familiar with the teachings of the other religion? were familiar with the history of the other nationality? were familiar with the culture (non-religious) of the other nationality? were familiar with the customs (non-religious) of the other nationality? knew people of the other race? were raised by people of the other race? Is there one specific other religion? race? nationality? Or was the scrund something that only people of your specific religion, race, and nationality could have had? |

For what it's worth...I wasn't assuming that the scrund had anything to do with any of those things. You said that religion, race, and nationality are things that separate the "someone else" from you. So I was checking to see whether knowledge they would have gained from any of those differences would help them avoid the scrund. Does that distinction change any of your answers to my above questions? Or is the "someone else" members of an organization that happens to consist of people who are all a different religion, race, and nationality from you? But the difference is membership in the organization, rather than any of the demographic factors that happen to define the group members? |

So there's no need anymore to talk about different organisations or nationalities. Sorry for not being clear! Or is the "someone else" members of an organization that happens to consist of people who are all a different religion, race, and nationality from you? So, if you were a bird, you would have understood something about flight that, as a human child, you did not? Were you, as a human, correct? Or would the bird's understanding of flight be more correct? Does it have to do with gravity? Flapping wings? Feathers? The reason one would have for flying? Whether humans can fly? |

Does it have to do with a certain aspect of flying? Such as: taking off? Landing? Diving? Soaring? Fear of heights? Fear of something else? Would it not work with the other listed animals because of: Different types of wings? Different size? Different ways of flying? How high they can fly? Different anatomy? This is probably not it, but: Did you think the claws were the birds' "hands" and the wings their "feet" anatomically speaking? |

Could it be said that your scrund was about airplanes? When a plane flies overhead at high altitude, its noise appears to be coming from a location behind the airplane because of the time the sound takes to travel to the ground.
