How many people involved?
1? 2? 3? 4? More than 4?
Are they all H/A? If relevant, are they all M?
Do they literally not know what they were doing?
Were they confused?
Would an average person be able to do this?
Does what they're doing require any special skills or traits?

The FA on "Do they literally not know what they were doing" - is it that they could be said to know what they are doing? but no-one knows exactly everything?

The FA on "Do they literally not know what they were doing" - is it that they could be said to know what they are doing? but no-one knows exactly everything? Yes that is correct, and important.

Was it intentional that no-one should know about everything? Someone thought it better if those involved only got need-to-know-based instructions? could it be bad for this "someone" if those involved got all the facts?
Is it something like when planning a large money transport, the drivers don't know in advance which route to take, they can't themselves get to the money, other people don't know which time the transport will be...?

Was it intentional that no-one should know about everything? Yes. Someone thought it better if those involved only got need-to-know-based instructions? Yesish - need-to-know my not be the best way of putting it. could it be bad for this "someone" if those involved got all the facts? Yesish.

Well, it's "Monty Python Jubilee" - so it should be time for "Something completely different"...

Something illegal involved?
The person who's intentions is for those involved not to know everything - is he/she involved in anything illegal? involved in preventing something illegal?

If people involved knew exactly what they were doing, what would happen?
Would they demand more money for what they're doing?
Would they make other demands?
Would they do things in a different way?
Would it be much easier for them doing "it"?
Would they stop doing "it"?
Would it affect "someone's" finances?
Would it affect "someone's" reputation?
Would it just be irritating?

Is this a scenario like for example people working a laboratory developing something and while they know what they are doing during development they do not know what the end use will be?

If they found out all the facts would any of them have any moral objections ? conscientious objections? to carrying out the work?

Is there a scientific experiment going on? In the field of medicine? Blinded studies relevant? Double-blind studies? That's it!

*****SPOILER*****
In a double-blind study, in this case of a new drug (FMOI), neither the patients nor the ones giving the treatment know if what is given is a placebo or the real thing. This gives better data by eliminating many kinds of bias.
Thanks for playing (:
