Does the statement take a rough form of things per unit time (such as papers/grants/students/etc per year/month/day/etc)? Does it take form of something else per unit time? Following on the publications route that is a yesish or yope...is he counting publications that shouldn't be counted (such as writing a letter to journal and calling it a publication)? Are we talking about publications as in journal articles? Does he quote his number of emails sent (and thus mixing emails about golfing with Prof Smith with emails about quantum philosophy of the spleen with Prof Smith)? Could a few minutes of research on the part of the listener fix the misleading nature? Could a few hours?
