Were you disappointed because you expected something Middle-Eastern but not a restaurant? A restaurant but not Middle-Eastern? Because you did not expect a restaurant at all? Is it relevant which country you were in? |

Have you misread the name of the restaurant? Food? Chef? Something else in the menu? Was it actually Middle-eastern restaurant? Have you eaten there? Was you disappointed before you entered restaurant? After that? When they brought you the food? When you tasted it? When you ate it? Sometime later? |

Was it the food that disappointed you? Specific food? Whole menu? Was something wrong with the way they prepared that food? Some missing or inappropriate ingredients? Wrong name of the food? Was that misreading actually relevant? Was that the source of the disappointment? |

Did the earlier, disappointing experience take place in that restaurant? in another Middle-eastern restaurant? in a restaurant serving another type of food? Did the earlier experience involve food at all? |

Is the pronunciation of the food name relevant? Or only the spelling? Did you think the food name sounded/was spelled like something dirty? When it was not? |

Did misreading reminded you of something completely unrelated to food? Was it this thought that made you disappointed? |

The thing you regretted not having done earlier--did it involve spelling words (for example, playing a word in Scrabble)? or an action whose name is spelled like the kind of food? Was it relevant that you failed to see the correct name? or that you DID see something else in its place? or both? |

Did misreading reminded you of something completely unrelated to food? mostly unrelated. Was it this thought that made you disappointed? yes. The thing you regretted not having done earlier--did it involve spelling words yes. (for example, playing a word in Scrabble YES!!! How on Earth did you figure this out?)? or an action whose name is spelled like the kind of food? no Was it relevant that you failed to see the correct name? or that you DID see something else in its place? Looking back on the experience, I'm not sure, but I think the first one. or both? maybe. I'm not sure. |

YES!!! How on Earth did you figure this out? You mentioned you regretted not having done something, and that the spelling of the type of food you saw was the only relevant thing. From there I just guessed. So were you correct in being disappointed, i.e. you could have played the word? or did you just momentarily think you could have played the word, based on misreading the spelling at the restaurant? |

Would playing the word have given you a bonus for using all 7 letters? |

I'll declare this a **********************SPOILER******************** I had all the letters to play FALAFEL in a Scrabble game. I misread it as FELAFEL in the dictionary. So I didn't do the word. Weeks later, I saw a Middle Eastern restaurant that served falafels and proudly said so on the sign. When I saw this, I realized that I could have played the word after all, and was therefore disappointed. Good job, people. |

Oh, it makes sense now that I realize that the misreading didn't happen at the same time as you saw the Middle Eastern restaurant. It may have taken me a while to get that. |

Great puzzle! Personally, I have a tendency during life situations to see written words and think, "That's a great Scrabble word." I now will add this to my random repertoire of randomness. |
