Was the warning light spotted on the ground? If so, did it mean the plane could not take off? And you saved money because you didn't have to pay the pilot (or someone else), but you were unhappy because you wanted to go skydiving? |

No. If so, did it mean the plane could not take off? And you saved money because you didn't have to pay the pilot (or someone else), but you were unhappy because you wanted to go skydiving? Did the light going off mean you had to jump immediately (before something additional went wrong with the plane)? which made you have to land somewhere other than where you planned to? |

Did the light going off mean you had to jump immediately (before something additional went wrong with the plane)? Yes! which made you have to land somewhere other than where you planned to? No, we had time to get back to the drop zone. Now how did this save me money? (I also saved money by not being able to jump any more that day, but that's not the point of the puzzle). Hint: this hinges on a fact you may not be familiar with, but I'm sure you can find out. |

Did you get money back? avoid paying money for something? If you avoided paying, would you have otherwise paid for a piece of equipment that would have been used up during the jump, but the situation meant you didn't need it? |

So because of the equipment failure, the plane could not go higher? And you jumped from a lower altitude than you wanted? Thus saving you money, even though you wanted to jump from a higher altitude, and making you unhappy? |
