so - what is she actually claiming then... that she has another sibling? unknown to the person she is speaking to? is this said in a healthcare setting? to a doctor? are transplants relevant? any kind of tissue donation? blood grouping? genetic typing? does she hope to gain financially? by donating blood? or something else? is she selling something? being paid for a service? does she plan to imitate this extra sibling? claim something on their behalf? is inheritance relavant? does she say this in a court? in public? in private? to a stranger? a friend? does she want sympathy? does she want to get a charitable donation? is there some particular relevant feature of the extra sibling? a health problem? does she state, 'I have a sibling who is X'? or just 'I have another sibling'? forgot to ask - relevant if the extra sibling is male or female? if so male? | ||

After the mother was revived, the doctor, wanting to determine whether the old woman was demented, asked her "How many children do you have?" When she said "two," the doctor asked Katrinka, "How many children does she have?" Recognizing the chance to get her mother declared incompetent & gain control of her mother's assets, Katrinka said, "three."This puzzle is based on an actual case of a woman who realized that she could have ruined her mother's life this way.She didn't do it, but she wrote an article about how doctors should be more careful & less trusting of family members when evaluating an old person for dementia.
