About two weeks ago, when it was sunny and really hot, I wore pants. Today when it was raining, windy and cold, I wore shorts. Why? (I=me, Galfisk) |

Were you indoors two weeks ago? Outdoors? Today, are you indoors? Outdoors? Two weeks ago, were you doing something that required you to wear pants? Relevant what type of pants? Jeans? Khakis? Sweatpants? Windpants? Long johns? Relevant what type of shorts? Jean shorts? Khaki shorts? Gym shorts? Personally, if I could, I would wear shorts in pretty much all weather - I've worn shorts in the SNOW before. |

Was it hot/cold in a place where you were at the moment? Somewhere else? Is location relevant? If you knew what the weather will be, would that changed your decision? |

Was the location you were in cold? Or was it the same temperature as the outside? Is your location today relevant? Are you just inside today? With the heat on? Or a fire going? |

Did you have to dress formally two weeks ago? So you wore pants? If you were going outside today, would you still be wearing shorts? |

Did you have to dress formally two weeks ago? No. So you wore pants? Yes, but for a different reason. If you were going outside today, would you still be wearing shorts? If I did, it wouldn't be for the same reason. |

Is the reason you're wearing shorts simply that you prefer shorts to long pants? Are all your long pants in the wash? Were all your shorts in the wash two weeks ago? |

Were the shorts otherwise being cleaned? Were they dirty? Being dry-cleaned? Did you even have shorts to wear two weeks ago? |

Were the shorts otherwise being cleaned? Were they dirty? This. Being dry-cleaned? Did you even have shorts to wear two weeks ago? Noish, consider this half of the puzzle solved: A week into my skydiving vacation, the only pair of shorts I had brought with me were in no condition to be worn any longer. So even if it was very hot outside, I wore my clean long pants instead. |

Is skydiving relevant to the other half of the puzzle? Is any part of the weather relevant? That it's raining? If it were cold, but not raining, would you still wear shorts? What about if it were raining, but not cold? If it were neither cold nor raining? |

Is the reasoning that you don't want to get your pants wet? So you simply don't take them out in the rain? Is there some other reasoning involved? |

Is the reasoning that you don't want to get your pants wet? So you simply don't take them out in the rain? Yes indeed. Is there some other reasoning involved? No. ***SPOILER*** About two weeks ago, when it was sunny and really hot, I wore pants because the only pair of shorts I had available were dirty. Today when it was raining, windy and cold, I wore shorts while cycling to work, because I didn't want the discomfort of wearing wet pants. My bare legs dried off quickly once I got inside. Thanks for playing! |
