This is my first rulebreaker: hopefully it works. I'll answer queries in italics without using the rule. I hope it won't be too difficult. |

Is it related at all to numbers? Is there a specific list of words that you can answer? Noish to the first one...that is, not directly. And yesish to the second one. I was thinking of a particular list of two-letter abbreviations, but I think I'd answer their words, too. Behind? CA Under? CA What? CA How? CA Who? CA |

Are you spelling out the state mottos of each state, adding one word every time we guess the state abbreviation? Balin, as usual, being so very clever, has guessed the ***SPOILER***! *snuggles Balin* :D And now, in English, because Latin/French/Spanish are too bothersome... no problem... I am queen of the random quick Google (kinda like quick draw, I guess). Question: I get the tonkslupin part of the name easily -- is the Kaylee (and therefore 'shiny') a reference to the "What does that make us?" "Big damn heroes, sir" show? 'Cause that would just be one more point in your favor :-D |

:D lol...I wish it did, but although I'm almost sure I know what show that is, no, I haven't seen it yet. Kaylee is what I would have been named if my grandmother had had her way...and shiny is just what I like to say :D |

It's a TV show called Firefly, another one that Fox canceled ahead of its time after its first season. The scriptwriting (and everything else about it) is just awesome (it's a Joss Whedon show). "Shiny" is one of the things said in the show that means something along the lines of 'good'/'great,' and there is a character named Kaylee, which is why I thought KTL's name might be based on it. Serenity was a movie they made based on the show/in its universe, mostly because there were a lot of semi-rabid fans who were really ticked it got canceled. Unfortunately, it wasn't successful enough to bring the show back. But all that's beside the point, now that I know it's not what her name is based on. And Balin, you're forgiven for not getting the ref, since you were apparently ~10 when the show came out :-) But you could always check it out (if you're interested in a snarky kinda space western) :-D |

Well, I use "shiny" to mean good/great anyway, and it's not the first time I've been asked about the name, so maybe I should just watch the show on DVD or something and then I can say I got it from there :D I can't remember WHERE I got the shiny from...one of my friends started me on it but I can't remember who, and no one here would know them LOL. |

Because "Of" is a two-letter word...but not "OH", "OK", or "OR", which are state postal abbreviations. Should it have been yesish or yope instead? It was sort of OTRT but not entirely. |
