I have several relatives on my mother's side of the family who I either didn't know at all (since they died before I was born) or because they died when I was very young. I've always wondered whether whether if and when humankind invents time travel, I could go back in time and get to know them some, and perhaps even save them so they'd still be alive in the present (or at least in the later past.) However, there is one relative who I definitely would not save. Why? If you've heard this from me already, DON'T $POYLE. |

Keeping out of this one...but I have to say it's funny that one of my characters on a Harry Potter RPG board is "Aidan Brody" and your title involves Adrien Brody. |

Because you would not be born if he was still alive? I don't know how this could be possible in reality, but that's the first idea that came to my mind :-) |

Also keeping out of this one. Maybe you'd get those relatives hooked on lateral puzzles. |

Because you would not be born if he was still alive? Probably (which would be enough reason for me not to make it so) I don't know how this could be possible in reality, but that's the first idea that came to my mind :-) Well you'll see. |

Can we call the person you wouldn't save Person X? Is Person X a bad person? a famous person? Does Person X have a wiki page? is it relevant how Person X died? is it relevant how any of the the other ones (that you might consider saving) died? |

is it relevant that Adrian Brody is a bad actor? is it relevant that he was in [Adhoc list of all the films that Adrian Brody was in]? |

Can we call the person you wouldn't save Person X? Sure. Is Person X a bad person? a famous person? Does Person X have a wiki page? No to all is it relevant how Person X died? Not how, but ... is it relevant how any of the the other ones (that you might consider saving) died? No. is it relevant that Adrian Brody is a bad actor? is it relevant that he was in [Adhoc list of all the films that Adrian Brody was in]? The actor is not relevant at all. The only connection is that, at Mattiel deduced, I would not be born if Person X were alive, thus invoking the grandfather paradox. And it just so happens that my grandfather (who died before I was born, although he is not person X) is named Adrian Brodey (not the actor though). |

Maybe he should have been an actor for Coke commercials? *innocent look* Seriously, though, my own grandfather (my paternal grandfather, who died before I was born) worked on TV commercials for various things. :-) Looks like we both had pretty cool grandfathers ;-) |

Well, it appears that almost everyone on this forum has already seen the post I made about this, so it doesn't do much good to keep this around. So, here it coms *****SPOILER***** The person is Mark, my mom's older brother, who died when he was 1. Truth be told, my grandparents probably only wanted 3 kids, so if he hadn't died, they probably wouldn't have had my mom, and therefore no me. :-( Good job, everyone. And I'm posting a second rulebreaker in addition to my current one to make it up to you. </b> |
