did he start running before the explosion? Yes... was there a slight delay and then he started running? No did he do anything between the sound and starting to run? did he look round? did the sound wake him up? No to these You're all really close, so I'll RECAP: A player on my baseball team gained the nickname "Bullet" due to something that happened during a game. While he was running, a firework went off, causing some of the players to make a joke which gave him the nickname. This is what's left to find: At what point in his running did the firework go off? What was the joke that was made? |

Is the joke that he broke the sound barrier? Yes it was!! **********SPOILER********** During a baseball game, one of my teammates, a slow runner, hit a slow ground ball and was trying to beat it out. At the exact moment he hit the base, a firework loudly went off in the distance. Some of my teammates joked that he'd broken the sound barrier, so from that day on, his nickname was "Bullet." Excellent job everyone, especially Galfisk and Shez for a lot of the work, and Peter365 for the BOOM. |
