They wanted to secede years ago. If there was any truth to this claim, then I would whole-heartedly agree! |

Is it some sort of alternate history story? Like where they have a fiction book which depicts a society where the South won the Civil War and now it's 1915 and the CSA and USA are fighting World War I on an American Front? (That's just an example, not a guess, though if it's close that's nice too) |

It actually is a book, or rather three books within a series: Timeline-191 by Harry Turtledove. The WWI books are the second, third, and fourth in the series. I believe there's about 16 books total. |

Oklahoma City? Tulsa? This one! Norman? Stillwater? (And I will have to admit that I have never heard of a few of the cities on Greg's list. Wow!) RECAP: Tulsa is a city that often threatens to secede from Oklahoma when they they don't like the decisions made in the state capital of Oklahoma City. (Normal political stuff...whatever!) Now ponder this: If there was any truth to this claim, then I would whole-heartedly agree that Tulsa needs to leave. Hint: The claim is not true -and I don't really think that Tulsa should secede. Delve into "who" and "what". "Why" will be harder to explain...

No - it's more of a non sequitur. Charlie Sheen, with his rants, just popped into my head after typing the first question. |

Balin: The "someone" - someone you know? Charlie Sheen? yes! Good job! Spoiler: By now I am sure that everyone has heard about Charlie Sheen's explosive outbursts. On Twitter, Sheen has over 3 million followers - but he only follows just over 30 people. One of those people is an average guy from Tulsa, OK. Read the story here. Tulsa World Sheen's response: "I invented Tulsa, OK ... in my sleep." My response: Boy, if that's true, then I will support Tulsa's desire to secede and create their own state. Goodbye, Tulsa! Thanks to all who stuck with the puzzle...Balin! |
