If they'd heard him, they would have chuckled, rolled their eyes, or tackled him. True story, him #1 = him #2 = HTM (but not me) |

The map on the back? (or writing/directions/whatever...it's been so long since I saw NT, I forget what was supposed to be there precisely) No - earlier in the movie and more general than this. The student said "I'm going to [something] it" - a line from the film. |

Steal? Yes, and that's the **********SPOILER********** The junior class at the high school I attended always goes to Washington DC for their class trip. My sister's junior class happened to be obsessed with National Treasure, even reenacting parts of the film in the relevant locations. So at the National Archives, standing in front of the Declaration of Independence, one of the students (reenacting the film) said, "I'm going to steal it." Fortunately, no security personnel heard him; however, I think that if they did, there would have been three possible reactions: -Chuckling (if they got the joke and thought it was funny in the slightest) -Rolling their eyes (if they got it, but thought it was dumb) -Or tackling him (because SOMEONE JUST THREATENED TO STEAL THE DECLARATION LET'S GET HIM!!!!!!!!) Nice work everyone - gold stars to Noel, Kaylee, Redwine, and Shez. |
