Was the suffering an economic loss? Did the blunder have to do with logistics? Would it be any help to find out more about the building site? Such as what was being constructed? Was the blunder mainly one of succession? Or one of time? (To clarify: If you tend to someone needing a band-aid on a small wound before someone who needs CPR, it is a blunder of time - the putting on of the band-aid does not in itself hamper the administration of CPR afterwards, it just wastes valuable time. Closing the garage gate before driving the car into the garage is a blunder of succession; the closing hinders the driving-in) |

Was the suffering an economic loss? Eventually, this also Did the blunder have to do with logistics? Yes Would it be any help to find out more about the building site? Not the site in particular... Such as what was being constructed? ... but this is relevant, yes Was the blunder mainly one of succession? Or one of time? Hard to say in the given situation, but based on your examples I would say one of succession |

Environmental conditions: wind? Rain? Heat? Cold? Flooding? Thunderstorms? Ice? Ground conditions? This Was it damaged? Yes, and specifically ... Ruined? This More expensive than anticipated? Eventually it proved so Was the problem remedied? They claim so, remains to be seen If not, would it be possible to remedy it? I hope so ******* SPOILER ******* A couple of weeks ago, the new National Arena in Bucharest, that is supposed to host the final of Europa League next year, was inaugurated with an official match between Romania and France. Everything was announced well in advance and everything seemed to work perfectly. The stadium was new and shining, the security was tight, there were some celebrations before, personalities invited, etc, etc. Given the traditional rivalry between the two teams, everybody was expecting a great performance. But... Starting around the 30th minute, the ground started to disintegrate. At some point the players needed to arrange it by hand, like a carpet. Four injured players was the result (two for each side), together with angry people and a renewal of the grass, now in progress, that costs four times more than the first one. The first one was the second day removed and thrown as garbage. How can you prepare in such detail the construction of a 55k+ people stadium and forget to check the first and most important thing, the ground, beats me. Thanks to all who participated and to Galfisk for the final solve.
