Was it a children's bible? A commentary? Something else that made it less, well, blasphemous and more humorous to throw it into a tree? Did everyone know it was a Bible? As a kid at Hebrew school I was taught to kiss my prayerbook whenever I closed it and also if I happened to drop it on the floor. Can't imagine how many germs I must have picked up that way... I would never have imagined throwing it though! | ||

I think I can call that a solve. Did everyone know it was a Bible? I wouldn't have either, until the situation came up...I'll explain more in the $poyler **********SPOILER********** This happened over the summer, when I was in Myrtle Beach for 2 months. A couple of us were walking to the parking lot when we noticed that a kid had gotten his beach ball stuck in a tree. I decided to help, and took the heaviest thing I had (my Bible -- we were about to head to church) and tossed it at the ball. Naturally, I missed completely and got it stuck. Some people understood why I had thrown my Bible into the tree, but more thought it...hmmm...I suppose "blasphemous" is a little too harsh, but something like that; however, pretty much everyone laughed because, after all, it was funny. Six hours later, I was finally able to get the Bible out by throwing a rock at it, prompting the set of reactions again. Nice work everyone (Ciaobella, Jenburdoo, etc), and be wary when throwing objects into palm trees. | ||
