First he lost it but it remained within sight.
Then he lost it and he was happy and he was angry.
Then he lost it forever.
And then he lost it.

Is the acronym "FUBAR" relevant? As a government/military phrase? A computing/technological one? Its referencing in media/popular culture at all relevant?

Line by line...
He1 = H/A/M?
He2 = He3 = He4? (and do they = He1?)
He5 = He1/2/3/4?
He6 = He1/2/3/4/5?

It1 = tangible? intangible? an object? his temper? his life? (these questions also apply for the other its)
it2 = it1?
it3 = it1? it2?
it4 = it1? it2? it3?

Is the acronym "FUBAR" relevant? Just insofar that that's what the situation described in the puzzle is.
As a government/military phrase?
A computing/technological one?
Its referencing in media/popular culture at all relevant?
So no to the rest

Line by line...
He1 = H/A/M? Yes, but A and M are irr for this puzzle.
He2 = He3 = He4? No (and do they = He1?) He1=He2=He4
He5 = He1/2/3/4? He5=He1=He2=He4
He6 = He1/2/3/4/5? He6=He1=He2=He4=He5

It1 Hmm... Neither tangible nor an object.
You seem to have forgotten the second "it" in the first line. I'm going to refer to it as "It1b" and it is a tangible object.

it2 = it1? No. It2=It1b, and thus an object
it3 = it1? it2? It3=It1b=It2
it4 = it1? it2? it3? No, It4 is his temper.

Just for clarification because this is getting confusing:
All "He"s are one and the same person except for the happy one in line 2.
The first "It" in line 1 is not an object but associated with the second "It" in the same line.
This second "It" is an object. All other "It"s refer to it except for the very last one which is his temper.

Is the first "it" consciousness? health?
He lost it forever - did the object disappear? did someone take the object? was the object destroyed? was the object misplaced somewhere where it remained hidden?

Is the object bigger than a plum? a baseball? a football? a car? a house?

Is it relevant how did the man (the object-holder) came into possession of the object?

Is it a true story?

Was the object finally destroyed by the thief? By the first man? By them both?

By the way, can we name these men?

Is it relevant how did the man (the object-holder) came into possession of the object? Yes

Is it a true story? No, it's FMOI

Was the object finally destroyed by the thief? Yesish
By the first man? No
By them both? Hmm... No. If at all, only indirectly.

By the way, can we name these men? Sure. Let's call the one who lost the item Lucky and the one who took it Ben. It's so fitting.

Did Lucky buy the object?
steal it?
get it as a gift?
That's all irr

Did Lucky acquire the object seconds before he loosing it for a first time?
minutes?
hours?
days?
weeks?
months?
years?
Relevant? No. But you can assume that he had used the object for some time and that it's not too old, so days, weeks and months are most likely.

Was the object made of metal?
(if yes: gold? silver?)
wood?
stone?
paper?
cloth?
other material?
Umm... I have no idea about the single components and exact kind of material, but the most prominent ones would be metal, plastic and glass. Noble metals are included too, but they're too irrelevant for Ben to be interested in the object because of them.

BLOOPER:

"Is it relevant how did the man (the object-holder) came into possession of the object?"

I answered this one with "Yes" because I had thought that this referred to Ben but rereading it, I assume it refers to Lucky instead. So it's NOT relevant how Lucky got the phone. He just owns it.

RECAP:

First he lost it but it remained within sight.
First, Lucky lost something related to his cell phone but his cell phone itself remained within sight.
Then he lost it and he was happy and he was angry.
Then, Lucky lost his cell phone (because it was taken by Ben) and Ben was happy and Lucky was angry.
Then he lost it forever.
Then Lucky (and, strictly speaking, Ben, too) lost the cell phone forever (because Ben broke it, even though, in a way, Lucky was involved, too).
And then he lost it.
And then Lucky lost his temper.

Did he loose his phone card? Battery? Some other physical part of the phone? Or some content on the phone? Relevant what sort of phone it was?

Did Ben steal the phone, Lucky chase him and as an effect the phone was dropped and broken in some way? Anything like that?

Did Ben and Lucky know each other? Or was Ben just a random thief?

***** SPOILER *****

Lucky has the habit of keeping his cell phone inside the pocket of his pants while listening to music on it. One day, he tried to change the volume without taking out the phone but accidently turned it off instead. He took it out to turn it back on and this got the attention of Ben the thief, who then grabbed the phone and ran for it. Lucky chased him and Ben tripped and dropped the phone in the process, making it break. Aggravated by so many unfortunate events in such a short time, Lucky lost his temper.

I originally wanted him to lose his mind, but temper fit nicely, too xD

Line 1 of the puzzle occured to me on a late evening in a commuter train full of more or less suspicious-looking characters. Under these circumstances, getting the idea for the rest of the puzzle was not much of a mental exercise.

Thanks for playing and congrats (and welcome back(?)) to Wunderland for solving this!
