Does it refer to people giving you ideas for puzzles? Or to people being subject of a puzzle (like your mother and aunts in your "Sisters" one)? RECAP Something - which is an action, but also a thing - makes a difference to some people, whereas it doesn't make one for others. (Sounds confusing, I know...) It's relevant that some of us are native English speakers and others are not, but looking up words etc. is not relevant. The thing we're looking for can occur on the LTPF, on other websites, and, HINT, outside of the internet. |

Do you pronounce 'LTPF' differently to how an english speaker would? yes Does it sound like a word to you? no Are other abbreviations used on the site relevant? yes, abbreviations in general are relevant HAM/F? this too Are some of the LTPF acronyms actual words in German? no Since I have four running puzzles at the moment (an LTPF cardinal sin), I'll put everything together now so that we have a ********SPOILER******** A while ago I read that most people pronounce acronyms and numbers in their native language when reading a text in their mind, even if the text is in another language. To the native speakers, it doesn't make a difference whether they pronounce the acronyms on here in their native language or in English because it's the same language. To the non-native speakers (me included), it does make a difference. Nice solve, Enjay! Thanks for playing, and please have a look at my other puzzles (: |
