Are the objects shaped like people?Yes! Dolls? Figurines? Statues? Mannequins? Yope, yes or yessish to all (!), but statues is closest. are the objects shaped like animals? Some could be, but n.r. to the puzzle. |

I take it the body itself isn't made of wax then? AFAIK, it is made of wax too, but is less exposed (covered by clothing in human images) and also larger, so a little shrinkage is not noticed. |
